An Alternative approach to Stage IV Health and choices

Posting the link below for those who would like to have an easy reference on herbs and vitamins from Memorial Sloan Kettering. Believe it or not, it is fairly unbiased. With that said, I do take things that this website sees no real value in and treatment they do not endorse. What is interesting is the format they use such as name, clinical summary, mechanism of action and so forth. They are trying to introduce some of the science behind the supplements.

My apologies, the link will not come out entirely. I even typed it out and it will appear in the box that we type our reply in correctly and then when I submit, it is only partially there. This is odd!
Next best thing: google, Memorial Sloan Kettering herbs

Happy New Years Ladies! Lets pray this is the year for us!!! Lucky 13!
-
Happy new year Michelle from Australia...hope everyone finds a way of living that brings peace and joy and stability.. i have someone who thinks they love me, and who thinks touch and care will heal me...lol...who am i to question the gift of friendship and love when i thought all that was over for me, its a crazy world, but beautiful sometimes still......I was thinking today about the many months days and hours i have spent on bco, the emotional input, the stimulating discussions, the hope and pain....i continue to hope that we are right, in that we can influence our bodies to heal, or to send those cancer cells to sleep at least, that's my goal anyway....I hope this thread can remain a place where people looking at options when confronted with stage IV breast cancer have a safe place to discuss the maze of information we are confronted with. If not, well, it was a bumpy ride, but thankyou to everyone who supported each other here, and who wracked their brains as i did into the wee hours of the mornings trying to find answers....

that's life: Wishing you all the best that life has to offer with your new love and friendship. It can come along when you least expect it, and that's what makes it so wonderful.
Please stay in touch!
-
Great to hear from you, thats-life! I agree that touch is extremely healing. Go for it!
-
That's Life, I am happy for you. You sound amazed this gift is coming to you now. Enjoy.
Kaara good to see you.
I have some data bulletins from health store on breast defend type of products, The onesI read about are to help protect from high estrogen levels. But I think a good natural endocrinologist is the important place to begin, all the right tests. I for one, with 95% ER+ PR+ was terrified of the estrogen and progesterone supposedly in my body, bbut the tests revealed my er was low an pr was low and matched. I am a natural progesterone cream that fills the receptor sites the PR would go into given the chance. This protects me from the ER too. After a significant time in research and consulting, I had decided this was to my benefit.
Not long after the ER PR I found out about the ellagic acid from Meeker variety red and black raspberry SEED powder and started using this by the scoopful 5 x a day. The cancer turned, I felt different, got my power back, no more naussea, the Laetrile tablets did not affect me anymore so it seemed the cancer was inactive, and I am still in the same shape to date. But I do a lot to deal with this, always something.
Missed the holidays, but happy January to all.

Happy New Year Essa! Always happy to see your posts and glad you are doing well :-)

My alternative doc had me on a no-sugar diet that I adhered to strictly for the first three months; the cancer grew anyway... I go into the whole story on my blog if anyone's interested: http://ldpgraphicdesign.com/2013/01/be-your-own-guru/

Hi ljuliad, very interesting blog.

It's late here but just wanted to keep you ladies in the loop. I started local hyperthermia this week. I found a Integrated clinic in Langley BC (Canada). I am flying out the day after chemo each treatmetn so 3 weeks on one week off. Except my week off I am going out to do the full body hyperthermia. I am a little scared of that one. It sounds pretty crazy intense but if it gets me more shrinkage then I would get just on chemo I will suffer through it. The local was very easy. You actually don't even feel the heat at all. It's called the Integrated Health Clinic and is in Fort Langley, British Columbia for any of you that want to look into it. They have a website. They are the only ones doing it in North America I believe. I've switched to Abraxane and have had it pretty easy so far. knock on wood.
Paciltaxol was a rough month for me.
Super late will post more after I have the whole body.
-
Hey Michelle
Thanks for the update and trailblazing the alternative way for us Stage IVers.
I'm on Paclitaxol (Taxol) and it's a little rough. Abraxane is easier on the side effects and hope you'll have great response to it, together with the Hyperthermia!
-
My DIL's mother has been diag with Stage IV, TNBC. Not looking good and they are only recommending mild chemo because of her parkinsons. So my DIL is looking into alternative treatments and found something called Escozine. Does anyone here have any experience with it? She is wanting feedback from someone who has tried it.

I have a bio-mat which uses the same principles of hypothermia.. it heats up quite a bit and I lie on it for 2 hours a day and its very relaxing.. it could be slowing tumor growth, but I don't have any proof of that. It's just one tool in my "arsenal" if you will!

edited to add 'early'
ljuliad, I could not find the updates on your cancer stories since early last year. What did I miss? I did find the donation button at bottom of thse posts though for help w tx. You have been blessed but I would like to know more on what you have done to get to this moment, you had so many experiences. Please?

So I got my scans and I have had a great response. My largest liver met went from 5.2 cm down to 3.5. The Onc suspects it is even greater shrinkage but that the body is still showing scar tissue or dead cancer.
So I am thinking the combo of hyperthermia and chemo has payed off. Just wanted to share my good news.
-
Michelle,
So very happy your scans are showing improvement. I certainly hope it continues.
Terri
-
Woooohoooo!!! Keep on heating it up! Are you using local or whole body?
-
Yay Michelle!!!
-
I am doing both. Every week for 3 weeks I do local and then the fourth (the week I am off of chemo) I do full body.
-
Michelle,
Great news!! So happy for you!
Happy thoughts, happy thoughts!

Hubby has made for me an infared sauna in the large shower. I will be doing the RIFE with a castor oil pac on the liver then a sauna a few times each day. I am also considering heat directly on the large axilla nodes. Perhaps yew salve with the heat. There is so much going on, so many unanswered questions. I am feeling highly frustrated. I want an alternative cancer guru.... for ER+ PR+ so I am led down the wrong path.
-
Michelle: That is just wonderful news!! Good for you! Sending you lots of positive energy!
-
Im looking into "energy-healing" with RIFE. I searched the boards and found this thread where its mentioned. Will anyone of you who are familiar with this say a few words about how to get started. Any advice, anything
-
Well this is now the second time I have had false positive news. It turns out there was a screw up and my tumour did it shrink as much as first thought. It went from 5.2x?x? And is now 5x 3.4x 1.7 the guy who did it had a thick accent and my Onc missed the 5 bit. Anyway I was bummed but at least it is still shrinking. Will know more in 3 weeks. Hate being given false hope. Hopefully it has sped up and us shrinking rapidly now.
New direction I have no idea on Rife but am going to keep an eye on this thread as I am interested too. Good luck! -
Came on to share my scan results and see this thread hasn't budged since my last post. Thats sad because I am barely on here anymore. New Direction what did you decide about the RIFE?
Oh scans were screwed up again. I am just that person. This time they called it stable but in fact it had shrunk 20% and the larger ones have cavities so it is hopefully dying on the inside out. I've got doughnut tumours. Still doing the hyperthermia once a week. Onc has decided to keep me on Abraxane for a bit longer.
I came across this article. Anyone heard of it?

Michelle,
Sounds like the scans are showing improvement. Hope it continues for you. Your girls are adorable.
Terri
-
That is GREAT news!! So happy for you, Michelle!
Never heard of salicinium but it looks like it is derived from willow bark just like aspirin, which also has anti-cancer properties.
-
That is a very interesting article! I dug out my copy of Knockout when I read it. Its so darn expensive though. Really discouraging. I saw you asked someone about rife and I just got one recently. Its called Energy Wave. I have a lot to learn about it but the other night I used it on a cancer channel for 56 min. I'm going to use it every other day. They have a whole bunch of auto codes already programmed for all different problems, and you can program your own auto codes in as well. I noticed the day after I used it I peed a lot more than usual and I was pretty tired.
