Your steroid use made you a world class athlete. Your cancer, athleticism, and wholesome image made you a public relations marketing dream. Your entire personality of persuasion "Live Strong" was built on layers and layers of lies. I get all of it, but the most sickening part of who you are is portraying yourself as if a God in the world of cancer, that was all built on lies, you preyed on the emotions of true heroes, honest people. You used cancer's symptom of vulnerability to add another layer of lies to your false image, and for me this is so much more egregious than taking steroids to ride a bike up a hill.

Amen. And I will add to this: he was a good athlete before cancer. What would he have been capable of doing after cancer if he had not taken steroids? Could he still have been a competent, inspiring athlete, even though he might not have won the Tour de France? What could he have achieved? Guess we'll never know. And neither will he.

They should do a clinical trial using Lance Armstrong's protocol of steroids, EPO and blood transfusions.Frown
