Good Morning insiders. LOL Most of u are working now so u have been pushed to nonhermituded, Well I'm still around so anytime.
Hope u'r all doing well on this friday eve.
-
Jazzy hope the last day went well and you are having a good day! Enjoy your day off!
Camille, hope you are having a good day!
This has been the longest week ever! I'm dealing with a bit of a bitch (sorry, but she is) at work. She's the school secretary so I depend on her for a lot of my job. My first week she was great, but lately she's just been moody and short. I just do my job and try not to cause her any extra work. One of the admins told me that she's been written up quite a lot for a bad attitude and acting like she is the supervisor, when she isn't. I guess no job is perfect and there's always that one person that can ruin itI'm trying not to be sensitive, or take it personally. You all know how us hermits are, crappy people make us want to hide!
Anyway, hope all are well and having a good day! Hugs! -
Markat I feel sad that there is a person like that u have to deal with. But u are so much better than that--just do what she has u do and ignore her--don't try to make conersation yet . We are not good with nasty people, I might be a little better cuz I'm older but that's not what or who I like to be around eer and there always seems to be someone we have to deal with on this basis. If u think she's a bitch then she must be-ooomakes me mad for u--U finally get going and then this one has to have an attitude. U'd like to tell her to shove her attitude with the other word that starts with an A--but u can't So all u could do is make the best of it and ignore her whenever possible. It's Friday eve so u'll have a few days away. And recharge u'r self.
I hope all else is having a good day and Jazzy a good night too.
-
Sorry you all are dealing with crazy people. You know how I feel on that subject.
-
Dear sister hermits:
I am going to recoil now a bit more into weekend "hermitude." I can remember how I felt a few months ago after a second surgery and so isolated sometimes. Now I say "boy, those were the days." Dealing with other people is hard, but also when you are not feeling totally great as most of are not these days, it is just that much harder.
Markat- I have to deal with a few of those types at my client site. I am sorry you have to deal with someone you need help from who is so unkind. Remember that her behavior says more about her than anything else. But some days, it is just so tiring to deal with, right?
Cami- I hope you had a good day.
My energy was good today after that long night of sleep last night. I had something called cranial sacral therapy last weekend and I was told it would help with my energy but would take a few days before I felt it. Actually felt much better today than I have in awhile. I hope it lasts (at least a bit longer?)
Hoping everyone is getting through the week okay. The weekend approacheth!
-
Jazzy I'm glad u felt better to day and what did u have. U guys find out about so much to do. It's wonderful whatever u do if it helps.
Yes Jane we know how u feel about stupid people. LOL

Thanks ladies!! Yay! Camille's pics are back!!! I need to go to bed earlier... no wonder I'm dragging every day

Happy Friday to my fellow hermits!
Oh Camille, love the pics! ROFL @ lady in wallyworld!!!
I must share that yesterday was 2 years since my diagnosis and I did think about it several times. Can not believe it has been 2 years already. I did expect to be more pain free at this point than I am...
I survived the week at work and did not walk out and quit!!! YET!!! I did have a "serious meeting" with the dept mgr on Monday. I tried to explain some of my frustration to her. Tuesday morning we had another meeting and she had pondered the things I told her...came up with some ideas (solutions) that might/could help. That was a step in the right direction. Tuesday was better, Wednesday not so much, Thursday better, Friday better. So I am hoping that things will get better and stay better. The owner also made some promises........
Hi and *waves* to all...have a good weekend my hermit friends!
-
Sweet hermits--thanks for the silliness and smiles! When I logged in, it was with a draggy spirit, but the pics and the talk lifted me up. (that, and a student today with outspread arms, saying, "I love you!!!" just out of nowhere.)
Attended funeral today...so visiting you here was perfect timing to pull me back into a more decent humor.
Good weekend, sleep, rest, groundhog to all!

I'm going to un-hermit a little tomorrow and go to a seminar about kitchen and bath design. I've bought a house and the bathroom needs some work to make the house ready to live in. I'm thinking of doing away with the bathtub and just having a shower, because I can't even remember the last time I actually took a bath. My mom says no, because the house has only one bath and she wouldn't want a house without any tub at all. I must admit they can come in useful for stuff like washing large items. On the other hand, I could get one of those big plastic totes or even a kiddie pool and fill it using a hose from the laundry sink in the garage (as soon as I have one put in, LOL). I'd have to dip the water back out and pour it down the sink, but as infrequently as I have something that big to hand-launder, I don't think that would be an issue. What say you hermits? Do any of you live in a house with no bathtub? Am I thinking of doing something I will regret later on?
P.S. I still haven't told anyone outside my immediate family exactly where the house is. Other folks just know the city.

Morning all. Its coming up 5am and watching st elsewhere! Good grief the excitement in my life. Haha. Doing better today, talking to the ex on bbm and trying to sort things long distance as he's in belfast now with his parents. Who knows what the future holds, but isn't that true for everyone? I must say thankyou for everyones supportive comments they very much helped and another thankyou to camille for those crazy pics iv just been laughing hard at. Love to all xx
-
@shambles, good to hear from you and glad your ex isn't following you around any more. You are up early for a Saturday! It's a little after 9 PM here on the US west coast. I think cami's pictures are a hoot too.
P.S. what's bbm?
-
Hey curveball, iv always been a terrible sleeper but I do find it very peaceful at this hour so alls good. Sorry, bbm is blackberry messenger, a free way to chat on blackberry mobiles. Very handy xx
-
@shambles, Friday is my night to stay up as late as I want to. I'm a real night owl. Usually that means 2 or 3 in the morning, but every now and again I'm still awake at 5 AM. Then I go to bed and sleep until lunchtime.
-
Hi everyone--if anyone is still around--was tiny bit busy today but nothing like u guys.
FL I hope u'r job gets better and better--really started rocky but U can be #1--that was such a bad pun. But if u can be happier now u can stay. U were lucky she/he listened they must like u.
Skittles whoever said I love you--how sweet
Shambles u do sound better so please keep it up.
Curveball Tht's a tricky question when u only have one bath. It's not a good selling point, And it's not practical, but if it were me and my bathroom I would definetly just get a shower only--cuz that all I want or do--but that just me.
OK my D came back today after I ate a banana--I told u it comes whenever it wants. LOL
-
@camilegal, I don't really care about resale. I hope to live in the house for the rest of my life (which I hope will be some considerable time despite stupid cancer).
After that, I don't care what my heirs or whoever buys the house from my estate puts in the bathroom.
They want a tub, they can have a tub. I think I'm going to go for it!
-
Hi fellow hermits- ah the weekend. I look forward to some good downtime, although I have some tax stuff and home stuff to do.
Cami-thanks for the fun photos! They made me laugh too.
Fl Warrior- glad you are talking things through with your management. That is a step for getting things moving in the right direction! Keep us posted on things, which will hopefully improve soon.
Skittles- I am sorry you had a funeral to attend, but how lovely the student that made you feel so nice today.
Shambles-glad you are doing better.
Curveball- my house, although small, has two tubs (one jetted) and one shower. I love taking a bath once and awhile. Since you are doing this for you vs. resale, see what options they have to include a nice tub for a soak. The best tub I ever had in a place I live was one of those large antique ones. So much room in those.
Happy ground hog day one and all!
-
Jazzy I purposely stayed off the comp. so I would sleep---well I slept 1 and 1/2 hrs. I could have been here LOL
It's been snowing here so we'll see what we end up with.
Curveball if u'r not thinking about the resale then just do what u want--I would.

Early spring in the North Country!
-
Fellow hermits- good morning!
I hear P. Phil did not see his shadow! Whoo hoo!
Cami- Flintstones chewable morphine is funny, but that also tells me your body must be hurting bad today?
I was up and down last night but slept in until 9 a.m. today and that felt good. I am staying in today and keeping in my hermitude, but will go out to walk and try a little home yoga practice.
Wishing you all a good saturday!
-
Hey Camille, if you find those special flintstones chewables...can u share w/ me? I am having a periprial neuropathy flare at the moment. UGH! It is a lingering s/e thanks to taxotere (I finished chemo june of 2011).
Jazzy, what type of yoga do you practice? I really want to get back to practicing...I like many forms, but Iyengar is my favorite. Unfortunately, I am procrastinating. Do you have any problems with LE from SND? That is what scares me and causes my procrastination.
curveball, congrats on buying a house.
shambles, hang in there. Glad you are getting some peace, without stalking.
Skittle, aww...how sweet of your little student! Sorry to hear you had to be at a funeral.
Teka, Yeah! Early spring is a good thing!
