I hope you are all having a good thristdey. I am! I got de best news today, slowly but shirley, mese prayers are being answered. And I tank you all for praying. I tink we must have nearly blown God's ear off cuz he did a berry good ting. And I will tail you about it soonliest. But to back track to monkeydey and twosdey, I tink I must have made a hundred phone calls between calling the county's dep of aging, nursing homes, long term care facilities etc. The first call I made was to the Lutheran Home in my town. I was shot down and told that the waiting list for the alzheimer's unit was over two years. And I only found two decent facilities that are accepting new patients. Well I will tail you, I got berry funcused at work today when I got a message from my sister asking if I would be available to check out de place, but she did not say de name. I was like, okey, but prefer mid day so I could use my lunch hour to leave de office tomorree. Den she mentions dis lutheran home again and said something like she hopes that they will be able to keep mom in the same facility for her rehad and to live. Well I got so funcused and messaged her dat I needed clarificaiton of what was happening and told her that I must have missed something. Her reply was that she sent me six messages today and to go back and read dem. So I did and still seemed to be missing sumting. So I get her on de horn from work and ask the question, was Mom accepted into the lutheran HOme for both PT and to live? And she said yes. I tailed her to say it again and she tailed me to go home and reread my email. i could tell she was gitting irritated as she was on her long dwive home and has left her house by 6:30 ebery morning for the long drive to de hosptial. Mind you, dis after driving back and forth over de weekend a total of 20 hours. So I say ok, jest forward de message to mese home. So she says I will forward de messages to your home. well well I do not get back home until close to 10pee em cuz mese went directly to de hospital after work. When I walked in, I always check mese email first. Some days i check on mese phone but todey there were just too many and mese was jest too biddy so did not look. Anyway, I find de email dat says dat yes, Mom is moving tomorrow to the lutheran home in my town and will have her PT there and will be moving in to stay. One ting she said was about mom's pain in de ass room mate whom we love. ding ding ding, it was dat one werd that kept de email from gitting to me at work. ya see, my people block bad words and don't eben tail me. So de werd ass kept de bery impotent message from gitting to me.  Ok, I could have said all dat in less werds but honestly, mese SO fircited I could jump up and down. And why, because God listened to me, he listened to you and eberyone else who was praying and He got what we all wanted for Mom. I could not be happier, dat was de biggest hurdle. Now we have to find Dad somewhere to live. Dat won't be easy either but IF you goils keep praying and I keep praying, I tink God will hear you all again. So I tank you tank ye all from de bottom of mese fart. I want to also tail you about my visit tonight with my sweet mommy. but mese needs a dwink. So I make dwink and come back. And ya know what? Mese ass should be in mese bed. But chit, who eben cares lol. Mese ass should also be werking but who eben cares lol again. Do ye tink I care?

bdw, I thought mese computer was bwoked when I saw de black page with glow in de dark text on de previous page. dat was de weirdest ting. And I tink Cammie bixed it for us?  WAY TO GO CAM, goils we need to gib her a round of apaws!!

Dorky u'r mom is going exactly where u wanted her to go right.  Oh I'm so so so glad--I bet when u'd dad sees her he'll be willing to be around there too so they can be together. This is wonderful news and we'll all still pray so everything comes together for u'r family. (((prayers))) and (((HUGS)))  God heard u quickly, cuz he must really like u. I did read all of this right , didn't I.

Good morning, Loungettes!  Still windy here, but I still have power.  Lots of trees and tree limbs and other stuff down in the roads yesterday, probably more today.  Getting colder today, too.  Sigh.  TGIF.

Goldie--when you go shopping for meds, don’t buy Mucinex--that's a brand name and you can get the active ingredient (guifenasen) for a lot less generic.  The difference is the dose.  Mucinex is about 600 mg a dose, but you can get that by taking 2 or 3 tablets of the generic stuff and still save a lot of $$$. Thanks for the prayer, my friend is going to his friend's funeral today, and today is my friend's birthday.  Gonna be a hard day for him. 

ORLA--what is that bug? It's beautiful! 

Mema--funny, I love windy weather.  I love listening to the sound it makes in the trees and around the house.  Extreme cold, on the other hand, I really do not like. 

Cammy--yesterday it was warm enough for shirtsleeves most of the day.  It started cooling off in the afternoon, and we're back into wind chill warnings again.  Welcome to winter in Maine. 

LOL at the funky dark and light posts on the last page!  Never know what's gonna happen here, glad we know how to fix it!

CynCyn--I just have memory moments, too, they just happen often! 

Speaking of staying off the road until it was sanded, I went straight to a patient's home to deal with a crisis, during which the patient's landlord disappeared. As soon as the ambulance left with my patient the landlord reappeared and spent 20 minutes reaming me out for not being there immediately when he called, all the things I've done wrong, how wonderful he is for taking in sick people.  And he wouldn't sign on as the patient's caregiver, so he had no right to expect anything.  I really wanted to tell him that we weren't obligated to even take his call since he wasn't a caregiver, but I didn't.  He was such a jerk.  Then he got on the phone and told work he would be late because the roads were icy--he lives less than 5 miles from where he works!  What a maroon!

DorKable--Hooray!!!!!! Go God!  Your sister needs to understand the bad word block on the e-mail at work, it makes for confusion.  And why didn't she just say that anyway?  Oh well. 

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is The WTG, God!

• 2 1/2 oz Whiskey
• 1 oz Peach schnapps
• 5 tblsp Fruit punch, orange-banana (frozen)
• 1/2 oz Lemon juice
• Fill Pepsi Cola

Pour Whiskey and Peach Schnapps over ice cubes in a High Ball Glass. Add frozen canned orange banana punch (no water). Add lemon juice and fill the rest with pepsi. Stir well and serve.

Julie-  I also had to have an endo biopsy due to Tamox.  Ended up going on to an AI (chemopause).  Prayers all is well.

NM u wether is sounding like ILL. weather this week--it's crazy and I don't like cold and lately wind is doing damage so I'm not crazy about that either.

Goldie how are u 2 doing this morning? U'r still little to  me altho I'm much shorter u'r ody is little--I've shrunk 2 whole inches I can't believe it my sister and cousin too. This is orrible to us but if I started at u'r height I'd be all right LOL My DD2 (whom I live with) is 5'10" but she's overweight some of her meds have steroids in them and I feel so bad for her cuz I' overweight and Joey is starting so they went on WW--I don't have the discipline-I've lost about 50 lbs this last 6 mos, but I need to lose another50 lbs I did ask the drs. to hold off fixing anything til I loose the rest and they said NO, ARE U CRAZY--no I'm not I mostly eat very little cuz of my D so I go at least a day here and there without eating, I've gotten used to it now, but that's not discipline there is a reason for my insanity.-oops somehow I turned this around all aout me--I tend to do that when I jammer.

Orange I'm glad u'r not driving for a while, I'm sorry if u'r bored but it's best for u. Just tell u'r self it's just for now.

Lori good idea about Lynda's address I hope someone kept it. I't been so long since she posted--I wish she's pop in to let us know what's going on.

OK so Kat is away for a couple of days--it's so nice that they travel around. The ones that have husbands here, it always seems like they are so nice to u and it makes me happy.

And I know Dork and her Puka are both working today so we won't hear from her yet.

I'm right with you on the love for bread and pasta...I lasted 1/2 a day on Atkins...I knew it wouldnt work when I started sneaking crackers in the bathroom...I dont think there is a diet out there for me that would work for me cause I cant stand being told I cant have something..makes me want it all the more.

Speakin of which....I must go find some lunch..may go huntin in the deep freezer  in the garage for something unhealthy.

Hiya Lovely Loungettes!

Found some puter time while DH naps to try to get rid of his headache. We cancelled our dinner plans for the gourmet room, and will just snack around in the vip room. Staying here 3 nights...and yuppers, toooooo much to eat here, had a big lunch, and some blue moon beers while playing bj. My DH had a draft that was dark and called "Southern Pecan"...and he loved it! We're up high on the 20th flr, and see the Mississippi River. All casinos in MS have to be "on the water" and the inland ones usually have to have a barge pull it in place. I don't know how they did it cuz none of them are really "on the water"> They must have somehow flooded the area, got some barges to pull whatever they call it (boats?) in place. SOmetimes you find trickles of water near it! LOL> But they are immense, and you sure can't tell when you are "on the water" or on land. This one we are in is especially GAWGEOUS!!!! HOpe DH gets rid of his headache soon so we can go downstairs and get some good dwinks!!!!

Oh Lara, you scared me too....then I read your mom is ok...yippeeeee!!! But I am funcused.....you mentioned feeling the metal....are your expanders made of metal? Or do you mean the "port" area where the inject the fills?? Mine were not uncomfortable (I know, I was lucky), and I had them go slowly on the fills, so didn't really hurt except maybe a couple of hrs was uncomfortable. Some drs order big fills ea time, and that can really be painful. BUT ITS WORTH IT!!!! I do hope you feel better and better ea day that passes!!!

I am over the moon with happiness that Dotty's mom is going to be in the BEST place!  I guess today was "moving day"? HOpe she likes the new place, and that they aren't too hard on her with the PT. There is a pic of him on the video Lori made, of our HTL utopia. He is up on the tv, in a pic of the lounge! He looked better then, before he had all his hair cut off. OK, gotta wake up DH.....time for some gambling... **ka-ching** so far we are up somewhat....hope that continues.....
