LIFE'S A BEACH!

I love the pictures of the beaches. Wish I was at one of them now, it is so cold here and is expected to stay that way for a while. I would love to be in the blue lounge chair with a cool drink and a sunny sky. Thank you Lisa and Mum for sharing these wonderful pictures.
For those who are praying for Kendall, my #1DGD, she had to have surgery yesterday to replace the temporary drain because they can only be in so long before the risk of infection become too great so they replaced it with a new one so that would give them more time to step her pressure up slowly. The tried to go too fast before and she was having too much trouble with the rate of increase. They do not want to put in a permanent shunt unless there is absolutely no other choice so they are trying one more time with the temporary one. Please pray that this works and that she has complete healing.
Take care everyone. AJ

Kendall, you and your family are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Chubba, I really do appreciate all the prayers are with my sweet granddaughter.

Answering posts as I read ....
Carollyn, we have several bird feeders in our backyard. There's one in particular that hub just can't keep full - it's pretty big, and he puts cheap stuff in there, but they love it! It's the perches on it we think more than the food itself - lots of perches so not too much fighting! And of course all that spillage helps the ground feeding birds...we just can't believe how they're going through it!
Julz, we did get the snow yesterday but not too bad. Hub and I were both home safe and sound with nowhere we had to go last night, so it was just pretty to watch. Late at night it was like a gazillion diamonds crushed on our front lawn. The moon was big and bright and really put the phrase into my head "the moon on the breast of the new fallen snow gave the lustre of midday to objects below". Enough sun today that it melted our cars without the need to scrape them, and hub just had to "squeegie" the steps and sidewalk. Enough for me till next winter though!
AJ, I'm glad Kendall's team recognizes the danger of leaving in the temporary, and put in a new one. Of course, I wish she didn't need it at all, but at least it seems like her caregivers are truly putting her interests and health first. I hope that enough of us can storm our churches tomorrow on her behalf that we'll get that pressure stabilized once and for all. Hugs dear.
Onto the next page for more reading and posting......

Ah, ok...not much on this page so far! Here's another pic from the Tampa, FL gathering of a few chatters in Nov 2011 ... this is at the Gulf of Mexico which was about a 30 second walk from the condos where we stayed!
-
And here's a shot looking left instead of straight ahead - I love how it looks dark in the one, but so light in the next one! Such a pretty beach. And those women are BCO chat friends of mine. More were there, these were just the ones who happened to be on my left when I snapped this shot!

Marlegal wonderful description! Last night while taking the dogs out it still sparkled!!! We got about 2-3 inches here. Light as feathers & easy to shovel! Thanks for the Pics! I bet you had a wonderful time!

Lisa - I googled the San Diego Zoo and they have or at least had them there. Thought might be where you saw them. Wikipedia says they weigh from 70-150 lbs but gentle and can hand feed them. Would love to see the teeth on that thing!
-
They are at the zoo, near the elephants..
-
Saw these on my walk this morning
