No sorries!!! Shari. I like talking with you!!!

That's what hubby and I are confused about. All the conflicting reports are not fair to us as patients. How would these drs like their family or themselves to be treated that way?

Shianne, I had an MRI at DX, but not prior to surgery. They probably did a US the morning of surgery, but I don't remember. I do remember that my surgeon called it CCR, but took care to explain that CPR is something different and not to get my hopes up.

You should ask for a copy of the path report. I have all my scan reports and path reports. It is good to be able to go back when some question pops up (except all mine are in Greek and even my Greek dh doesn't know all the terms).

I assume your surgery must have been a few weeks after finishing the neo-adjuvant chemo, so I agree that having the cancer grow in that time is totally weird. I hope the BS can explain all this properly.

In my case, the initial tumor was >5CM, we are not exactly sure just how big it really was, because it was ILC, probably several tumors merged together and it looked a different size on each of the scanning methods. But when I started chemo, they measured it externally with that metal sliderule-looking thing and put it at 8CM. By surgery time, nobody could find it anymore, but there was 1.2 by 0.8 CM left alive all the same.
