10 year Anniversary for Stage 4 today!!

Options

Dx'd 10 years ago today, with Stage 0.  But it was really Stage 4 with liver mets.

After Gemzar with Herceptin for my liver, I was blessed with 6 years of remission.

Now I have a recurrence in the lymph nodes behind my sternum, but the growth is being slowed by Faslodex butt shots.

I have been on Herceptin for 9 years, and will be for life, I hope.

Yay me!

Yay you for sure!!! Congratulations. I left the board for a couple of years in 2007, but just wanted you to know you gave me so much hope when I was first diagnosed back then. To read you're still doing well now is fantastic!

    Yay you!!

You give me hope that I can survive as long!

I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer metastisis to my bones, Nov '12 just as I was about to fly away for the winter in Mexico. My husb diagnosed at the same time, with anal cancer! Needless to say we didn't go.  Now 14 months later we have finally returned to our beloved Puerto Vallarta. He's in remission, I am not of course but my onc changed my chemo to Xeloda because Ixempra had stopped working and now says I am "stabilized".  Such great news! We feel so blessed to be able to enjoy the warmth of our friends here & the sunshine on the beach.  All the best of everything to you and us, eh?!  Adriennek

So happy for good news for you!

Could some of you help me with something? I also posted the below in the IDC forum-I hope some more experienced people can help this Friend of ours:

It won't let me copy and paste. Shoot. But there is a lady from the UK who is having some serious issues of possible recurrance-has positive diagnosis and just went thru serious surgery. She's posted in the "Waiting for Testing" forum with the actual title "Waiting for testing" as her post. Her name is Prasanna13. A couple of us recommended she post where more experienced people will see her post, but I'm afraid she didn't know where to go and apologized for posting in the wrong place!!! I told her NO NEED to apologize!-That we just wanted her to have ADDED help-
THANKS sooo much if you can help-Sherry
