YAY! Five Years

Great news, DCMom!  And great accomplishments and new goals!

liked hearing this. i have felt so scared tonight by stage lll 

Next Monday I will be celebrating 5 years. I count the date of my mastectomy. I know people use all different dates. I had a single met to sternum when diagnosed. Had my sternum reconstructed. Had chemo and rads. No recurrence. On Tamoxifen and Zometa infusions every 3 months. My aunt just passed away Sunday night from endometrial cancer so my anniversary is bittersweet. Good luck to all of you ladies.

OH-MY-GOSH. You just made MY day!  I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear when I read the part about your big celebration at.....CHIK-FIL-A!  I love it! And I'm much like you, I don't spend EVERY waking moment thinking about a recurrence (it does rear it's ugly head from time to time but not near as much now)and trying hard to get out and get on with LIFE!  We are alive and we need to LIVE IT SISTAHS!!!!
