That's nice that you'll have company.  The 17th will be here before you know it and we're all here holding your hand during the wait too.

Stella - would you mind sending me the details too please?

    xx

Kim, glad you will have lots of family support.

I've been sick this week, really sick and had to miss  my pre-op assessment for diep, stage 2, next Wednesday.  My gp is on it and helping me to get well and I hope I can by next week.

    Hi

Just noticed this post. I'm in Manchester and have been having treatment at the Christie Hospital. I can't complain about the treatment under the NHS, it's been brilliant

Now nearly 5 years from dx, had chemo, a lumpectomy & rads and the treatment was great (OK I felt rough going thro' treatment but fine now).

I know the treatment seems harsh, but in the long run it does make you better. It's hard at first and 'googling' doesn't help.

Just know that better times are round the corner. You'll feel better.

    xx

Well Janet, I was waving at ya!Wink

All systems go for surgery on Wednesday.  Logistics are not easy but we will work them out and I'll be there 7:15am.  I'm so looking forward to getting this done and behind me.  It's be hard for me to put up with this bulky left breast and if that has been my only problem through all that, I'll gladly keep it!

Love to all, especially you Kim,

    LB, x

Janet, I'm ready and got a call today that PS is today home ill and 'plans' on doing surgery tomorrow.  I'd hate to drive to East Grinstead and get there at 7am to be told no go but you know, I'd rather he be well than go ahead and whittle on my bod feeling crapy.

I hope it does not snow tonight and I'll honk as I fly by at 5:45am.Wink

Hi LB, good luck for tomorrow I will be thinking of you and hope all goes very well, it seems we got away with the snow this weekend... thankfully :)

I have 2 appointments tomorrow, one a 9am for something to be injected into breast     ( ready for the blue dye) and another at 14.45 for the wire to be inserted, then in on thursday at 11.30 for the main event!

Hi maltomlin, thank you for your kind wishes, its a very small world as in the summer I was up at christies ( my husband comes from manchester) with my father-in-law who was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. NHS have been very good with him too.

Hi janet, thank you for being there for all of us through this it means a lot

If I dont get another chance to chat this week, love and big hugs to you all xx

    ***good luck LB***

Thank you to (((All))) for you positive, healing vibes. The surgery went really, really well.

My highly skilled plastic surgeon has got it spot on and this has made me one happy bunny. It's been a long haul and the hour and half drive at 5am on the M25 road works this morning in the fog, at bumper to bumper was the most difficult part.

I've not come down with anesthesia blues (yet) from the two hour surgery although my back seat driving - home was heightened, so perhaps that is it? Husband Roy has been a star was with me most the day as he got our son off to school and took the train to East Grinstead and drove me home. We got back at 5:45 wihout any problems.

Lying on the couch relatively pain free and ready to take a little ibuprofen to get ahead of it. Thank you ladies for YOUR loving support that carried me through today.

(((Kim))) Send you loving, healing thoughts and prayers for tomorrow. All will be well.

    Love all,

    LB, x

    good evening ladies,

LB, so happy for you that everything went well.. big hugs xxx

My surgery went well, I am very swollen, bruised and drugged up but am lucky enough to have my mum looking after me.

I know nothing about the surgery as I was so drowsy and my husband and son never thought to ask anything apart from was I ok!  I will find out in 2 weeks when I see the consultant to get the pathology results.

I have no internet connection at my mums and a kind neighbour has let me sign on hers although signal very poor it has let me update you all and let me read LB's great news :)

love and hugs to you all

Hi Kim,I'm pleased to hear all is continuing to be smooth sailing.

I'm keeping a sense of humour.  I've come to realize how tricky it is to do a small, natural diep breast. Wink

Grateful to have you lovely woman to walk this path with.

Warm hugs on the very chilly night,

    LB, x
