Awful Pain after Breast Radiation

I had cancer 13 years ago, but only had surgury, refused chemo and radiation. Then I got it again about year ago in same place, this time I decided to do surgury and radiation. If I had know what I know today, I would not have done the radiation. About six months after the radiation, I started having this awful pain in my breast (front to back) and radiation doctor told me it was from muscle pain. I have never experienced this kind of pain from anything in my life.  It seems to occur when I get sick or stressed. It comes and goes. This time it has been over two weeks and it seems to be getting worse.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry you are in such pain.  Have you asked for pain medicine to help?  Your PCP may be of help if your RO hasn't given you something.  You may get more help if you post on the Radiation Forum.  Someone there may have had a similar problem.  I had radiation, but have not experienced the pain you are describing.

Find a physical therapist that is experienced with treating breast cancer patients. Good ones can treat the pain; you don't have to suffer through it. Oncologists don't always know to suggest PT.
