Mammogram before radiation?

I finished my 4th and last C+T chemo infusion today and found that my radiologist wants to do a mammogram prior to starting radiation on 2/06.  Is this a normal step, or something extra, and if it's extra is it because she suspects a problem has arisen since that 1.5 cm TN lesion was removed in late September?  In spite of the surgery and chemo?

Ann, I haven't heard of that myself, but maybe someone else will be along shortly. Why not ask your RO? (In the absence of information, we tend to think the worst, don't we?)

I had a CT scan before radiation. It led to another biopsy that thankfully was b9 after two positives. They are looking for all the information they can get to map the radiation site. If they see anything else worrisome, they will follow up as they did in my case.
