Benny-
Most definitely a heathy choice:) -
Benny, I also just had four squares of Lindt chocolate therapy, and I absolutely refuse to feel guilty at all. The rest is still on the counter . . . Aww, that Benny is just the picture of comfort and coziness, and he is so fluffy and beautiful. Thanks for the picture! You seem to be so much better - it is really great to hear you sounding so well!
-
Benny, you inspired me too - just did a line of dark chocolate, and I'm tempted to do another! You sound SO much better! Love your pic of Benny - he looks adorable! I have two ginger boys myself - yes, Liefie, that's my cat Sherman in the profile photo.
My new plan (or at least the first part of it) is in place. Unilateral BMX and SNB on Jan 17th.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! -
Good morning from sunny melbourne!!! I woke to the smell of Nihahis bread....smells delish!!!!
Benny chocolate is good....part of my 5 food groups.....lately Ive been on a SEEfood diet!!!
Bearcub almost half way through your rads
Edi hope youve rested well today...we do have Aldi here. One just opened down the road too now.
How cute re dh getting all those things next to u so u dont have to get up....but he forgot the loo.. lol
My arms a little better this morning kept it elevated most of the night....:) will make physio appt for next week.
On my phone so scrolling to get back to mesages harder but hope u all have a good night and sleep well. -
Benny, you have started a chocolate frenzy. I have also had 2 cubes of my dark diabetic one !!
Picture of Benny gorgeous so fluffy.
Been reading up on pics so will defo have another go. Thanks for trying to sort it for me but have got to learn.
I had a huge dish of semolina and jam for dinner tonight, really enjoyed it and no burning pipes yay.xBearcub, you are doing so well with the rads, they are sending for me soon to have my tattoo. How is your hair growth ? x
Caitlin, so glad you have sorted out next step. We will all be there for you x
Traii, sunny !! what is that lol. DH came back with big snow shovel just in case our weather men actually get it right.
Look after your arm and have a restful weekend xThought i would tell you all of something lovely that happened today.
I should have been having lunch with two friends, I cancelled as couldn't face going out. They dropped off flowers on their way to the pub I work in for the meal. ( we have a raincheck for next week )
Half an hour later my doorbell rings, standing there is my lovely boss with beef and greenpepper in black bean sauce and boiled rice for DH to have for dinner to save us cooking !
People's kindness never ceases to amaze me.Love to everone, Edi x
-
Oh yeah, the bread is for all of us! It is a no-knead, whole wheat, whole grain easy peasy recipe. Only problem is you have to start it the night before, so if I forget, it's another whole day without. It doesn't last long around here, that's for sure.
Benny, before I forget - hemp hearts are getting pretty mainstream, but you can definitely get them at places like Planet Organic and other natural food places. There is a booth at the Farmer's Market off Heritage/Blackfoot that sells them too, along with nuts, etc. Could be mistaken, but I think I've even seen them in Safeway.
Home from the errands, and guess what hubby found in the bottom of a grocery bag? Yup, Mars Bars - 2 for the price of one! Wonder how that happened
.Tried to go for a walk, too cold for the nose today. Guess I'll have to help rid the house of chocolate now!
ps - if you were in Okotoks, Look Out town, here we come!!!!!
Caitlin - you sound like both feet are on the ground and moving forward. Always remember, you've got people behind you.
Traii - when you are elevating your arm, make sure your hand is above the level of your heart, and your elbow isn't too bent. Otherwise you won't have much luck with the drainage. Most important is the above your heart level thing.
Gotta go deal with the chocolate bar situation now. Take care ladies.
-
Lila, sorry to hear about your friend. You will definitely get help and advice from the link Benny has given you. Keep strong, and we are here if you need us.
-
Edi - I think our posts crossed in cyberspace. Doesn't surprise me in the least that "good people" like your boss dropped off some supper for you. I firmly believe in what goes around comes around, and you certainly are one of the "good ones" too! The food sounds delicious too! Yum!
Bearcub - I've seen snowy owls around here too. They are awesome aren't they! My favorite birds are eagles, but owls of any kind are next in line. Before we moved to our condo, we had a yard that attracted lots of birds. One Christmas day, a great horned owl was sitting about 10 feet away from our sunroom window when we got up, and he was there the WHOLE DAY! You just can't beat the natural world can you!!!!
-
Edi the hair is coming along, it is mostly white, I would say it will be at least 2 more months before I am comfortable walking outside with out a hat, but that works because of the weather here -20 now, I don't want to go anywhere without a wool hat on! Don't be nervous about the tattoo and rads, you will do fine.
Traii I hope the physio helps, and your arm feels better.
Caitlin will be thinking of you on the 17th....not long now.
Nahahi I saw a horned owl once while I was riding it was beautiful. We had some bald eagles in a tree just down from our house last week. Unfortunately a deer had been hit and they were hanging around feeding. I have feeders out from about Oct. to April for the birds. I can only put them out when I am pretty sure the bears are just about hibernating or they get into them...
Everyone have a great weekend!! -
Hi everyone,
I was just catching up on all the post. Yesterday went well.. No real SE's yet.. Edi guess what? no constipation yet.. The anti-nausea drug they gave me yesterday is supposed to last for 72 hours hopefully I won't need to take any after it wears off. Nothing really taste great water is going down good! Had my injection today so I am also taking Clariton.
My bag was so heavy yesterday!! Made it so much easier with all of you there. I sure hope you all have a SE free weekend..
Love you all,
Carla
-
Glad to hear from your Carlads, so good to hear no SE's for you today. Just keep drinking that water girl, to flush out that chemo !!
Hope your weekend remains SE free......
Edi, how nice of your boss to drop off dinner.....one thing less to worry about.....:)
Nihahi, Thanks for the info re elevating, I know its above the heart level but its so hard laying on my back doing it......is it the same effect do you know laying on my tummy with my arm above my head ?? (stupid question???) thanks
Hope everyone has a SE weekend...I'm about to get ready to go out for dinner with the family
xx hugs to you all xx -
Hi sisters,
Hope you are all well and happy
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how more upbeat and cheerful we have become on here most of the time ?
Especially since Benny our precious scout is getting proper help.Benny, keep it up, you will smash this, get your strength built for next round. I see that you are not vegan but do not do dairy ? it IS a great source of protein. How about beans ? My ED is veggie and adores baked beans despite the wind lol. Don't know if it is a coincidence but after 2 days of semolina pipes are almost back to normal. Ground rice pudding also similar, soft and gentle. Have you a blender ? might be worth the investment, you could blend anything slightly lumpy to a smooth consistancy.Get lots of nourishment down those pipes. x
Traii, Hope dinner out was as lovely as you are. DH adored his beef in black bean while I demolished a huge bowl of semolina lol.
Good info off Nihahi re your arm.
No he didn't put a loo next to me, but it is only few yards away through the kitchen thank goodness. That all stopped late afternoon and things picking up this morning. Mouth feels almost normal, thirst abating, little bit of energy coming back yay. Look out world Edi is back.
Hope you have a lovely weekend xNihahi, You are so right re the fatigue. I have been lucky so far and it really wasn't that bad, but this time totally different story but fore warned is fore armed thank you.
Snowy owl, so majestic, wow.
Mars bars were my favourite( pre diabetes,) in Scotland they coat them in batter and deep fry them in their chip shops ! It is known as heart attack on a plate lol.xDakota, have a good weekend x
Bearcbub, hair sounds good. Whatever colour mine comes through I am going to have it coloured, ( when it is safe to do so ) something warm i.e. like my wig, reddish blonde.
Tats and rads hold no fear for me now, thanks to you.
Horned owl sounds so majestic. We back onto a farm and so see lots of wonderful wild birds but nothing so glorious. Heron after DH's fish about the best lol xCaitlin, keep chomping the chocolate it IS good for you Doc Edi says so x
Liefie,Baking sounds so tasty, do you deliver ? Jealous of your owls too x
Carla, hope you still se free and your chemo bag not to messy lol x
Websister, hope you are ok and Mum too x
Love and hugs to anyone I have missed. DH has just made my porridge, love that man !
Edi x
-
Edi, if you were not so far away I could have delivered to you - lol! My first order of business today is to do some beet canning. I bought beets, and then DH brought a lot home too. We love beet, but it is only the two of us, and I don't want them to spoil. So I cook some water, vinegar, spices and a little sugar, add the beets for a while, and then can them in mason jars. As a child I hated beet, but now I love it. Mars bars deep fried in a batter? Maybe I should try that? No, I'm only joking. Fortunately I have taught myself long ago to dislike anything deep fried except a piece of fish now and then, so will steer clear. Here in our town we have a restaurant where they bake a very delicious bread, cut it into huge chunks and then deep fry it. It is their signature dish (??????) and people go there just for that. It boggles my mind. I think it is such a waste of good bread. Butter, homemade jam and maybe a nice, aged Cheddar cheese will be so much better with the fresh bread, but that's just me. Always swimming against the current . . . Are you almost done with chemo? How many more?
-
Hooray....carlads back!!!! Sounds like you're doing well too, which is wonderful! Maybe Bev is lurking around, just not posting, that's ok too. Each does what they need.
Bearcub, please keep the bears with you.....I love knowing they are around and healthy as it means nature is in balance, but having had 3 encounters while hiking, I'd rather they play somewhere else!!!!!! Thankfully the only grizzlies I've seen have always been while inside a car (with the motor running!). I almost skied right into the side of a moose last year...came around a blind corner just as it decided to dash across a trail. Talk about a quick bail out!!!!!!!!!
Traii, not a stupid question at all....but I don't think you'd be able to be on your stomach and get your arm raised enough to be of any help. Just the thought of that position has sent my shoulders and cap. contraction into screaming fits!!!!!
Edi is right, spirits at the moment seem up. It's a roller coaster journey, but you know you're winning when cancer thoughts can be subdued by being annoyed with things like dust bunnies and dirty dishes!!! Life goes on, which is the whole point - Right!
Everyone, I don't always mention all names, but I love you all......you are amazing! Enjoy the day/night/ wherever you are.
-
Hi everyone,
Only SE is this dang Headache! They told me to take Excedrin Migraine, problem with that is only 2 in a 24 hour period. But I won't complain it could be worse.
Traii, I keep my water right next to me and drink drink drink..
Edi,I just said to my husband "How sweet Edi's husband just bought her porridge" he said "What is porridge?!" Lol.
Dakota, Websister, Liefie, Bearcub, Nihahi, and everyone else have a nice Saturday!
Benny, I hope you are doing better!
It's 30 degrees in Sunny California today I am going to get a nice long walk in and try to get rid of this Headache!
Love to all!
Carla
-
Carlads.....SUNSCREEN GIRL......UBER IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! Not sure how much food you're eating, compared to your water intake. That could be part of the headache equation too. Try to keep your electrolytes in balance. Ok, seriously, I have got to get on with some mundane things now.
Later ladies!
You're awesome!
-
nihahi, your life is like an action movie , almost skied into a moose shreik !! Love to hear all about it though. Not sure about bears, unless they are small and stuffed lol.
We have got to keep these spirits up to upset the BC bxxxh. We are unstoppable warriors all xCarla, you doing really well. think nihahi could be on right track about eating as well as lot of drinks, little and often to keep up energy levels.

If you are out in that glorious weather sun screen, and nice big hat a must, you have been nagged.just because we care.
Tell DH porridge is food of the gods, puts hairs on your chest ( not sure they suit me )but hey ho, lol. xliefie, beets ? is that what we call beetroot here, round and deep purple colour. If so on my way, I eat them by the jar with creamy wensleydale cheese and fresh crusty bread, oh gosh making me hungry ! You are right about the deep fried stuff so unhealthy, like you the odd piece of fish now and again but even that makes me feel a bit sick these days.
Got four more chemo but thank goodness different one, then rads but at least half way along the chemo's.xBack later to see what everyone has been up to.
Making a shepherd's pie if only I can catch him. x
-
Good morning sisters! I am sleep-logged this morning because I stayed up til 0200 working on a jigsaw puzzle I have on the dining room table *blink, blink*. Now of course I'm sleepy-dopey (sleepier and dopier than usual, that is).
I'm so glad to hear I started chocolate frenzy! That Aero bar was the best chocolate bar I've ever had because I ate it slowly and savoured every morsel. And no ensuing pain afterward (well, not much anyway, didn't need codeine). I decided to have a scrambled egg and a potato pancake for breakfast so am sitting here waiting to see if it goes down okay. They've scheduled my next chemo for 1045 on January 16 so better eat the good stuff now.
Caitlin, Sherman is such a cute name
What is the other one's name? I have a weakness for orange cats, for some reason. My first cat, Bartholomew, was bright orange with big blue eyes as he was part siamese. He was the cutest thing. Used to eat Coffeemate and olives and hide his cat toys behind the toilet. He lived to be 19 and I was beyond despair when he finally passed away.Traii, how is your arm this morning? Better?
Bearcub, almost halfway through the rads! I am jealous! Glad to hear your skin is doing well. I have an appointment on Monday to meet with the radiologist and am scared. No one told me about any tattoos. I don't want tattoos and I mostly certainly don't want the needles. Did the tattoos hurt? About two years ago I had a snowy owl in my backyard. He stayed for about a week and every night it was the same thing: hooooo, hoooooo, hooo. He was so handsome but he wasn't much of a conversationalist.
Carla, happy to read no SE's for you. Keep drinking water to flush it out. Are you taking any anti-constipation meds? It's better to be proactive than reactive when it comes to constipation. I found this out the hard way.
Edi, I do have a blender. I also have a big and small food processor and use it to puree green beans to add to my potatoes. I'm going to have to do some sort of tribute to potatoes when I'm through all this, but anyway. I can do dairy but try to not overdo it. The dietician said brown beans are hard to digest so best to stay away from those right after chemo. I did make up a list of foods I can eat. I would love rice pudding but the dietician says no sugar so that eliminates puddings/custards, etc.

Okay, good wishes and lots of love to all this morning! Keep on keepin' on! I'm off to the barn to see the giant plush toy, despite the -10 degree weather. After dropping 30 pounds, I can wear 4 layers of pants and look pretty much the same as I used to with one.
Have a great day, sisters! ♥
-
Benny, you are such a worry wort ! the tat is tiny my friends is like a pin head. I want a lovely picture of a sexy young man but don't think they do that on the NHS lol.
Have a lovely day in your Bridgette Jones pants xx -
Benny and Edi - The tats for rads are tiny needle prick kinds. I have 3: one in center of chest between tatas, and one on each outer ribcage. Used for the laser to line up exactly the same each time. I have read of some refusing tats. Then I had super sticky tabs that were repositioned occasionally. I had 6.5 weeks and every Monday had X-rays to check the positioning and that's when they would reposition the tabs. Somewhere on BCO is a great discussion of angles of rads. I only had from 2 angles so catch all the breast tissue one from the right, then it crossed over to the left since I had no positive nodes though was surpised that they did radiate the SNB site. I had the tats; at my age I don't think nude beaches are in my future and I wanted the best shot at rads since it can't be repeated on the same breast. I had some breakdown on nip but not extreme and worked through it all. I did not have what I would call serious breakdown. Did resort one time to Domeboro's soak to the nip. Rads b4 work and most in my office never knew when I went as I was done most mornings about the time my office opened. Only missed one early telephone call throughout. I know the Canadian protocol is I believe 16 sessions more intense but delivering ultimately the same dose. My RO said coloring (fair, red head) has less to do with SE than how the skin had been previously overbaked shall we say in tanning. Did warn me my sternum area which had seen the sun might be worse but wasn't. Except for the extra time in my day and the fatigue which did happen as I progressed thru rads it was not that bad. I see other postings on here of bad reactions so sure know they do happen even with excellent ROs. I would add one thing to BE SURE OF - yes caps. When they do your preplanning make sure they get a position you can be at least minimally comfortable in. My rads even with the extra Mon. xrays were very quick but with more involvement esp. Benny you may have a longer time on the table. I had a good friend who was a few months ahead of me in tx. Her comment was very apt - it took longer to dress/undress than the rads, a little bit exaggerated but darn close. Hers had a card swipe check in which I thought was neat, not at mine though her center was newer. Mine had lockers, put stuff it, take the key with you. I always left purse in car, that's just me since I with my job you know driving around and going in nursing homes/pt homes all day it was already buried in my car trunk (Oh Edi I do know the English boot! LOL). I had mostly the same techs throughout even though the rads place was quite big, freestanding center. Females except for one trainee that I was asked if I minded him being there.
Creams/lotions - I used a prescription that RO insisted on Xclair. Expensive even with my insurance. Also Aquaphor, OTC product. I see Glaxol, Biafine, My Girls and others mentioned on here. I also used as I finished up a Calendula baby cream from Target and still put on itchy skin areas. It smells heavenly. I had sports bras from WalMart since I was just coming from surgery. And still use those when I feel the smooshing/support need. Even the Aquaphor washed out of them. I did put on cami's to protect my scrubs and they survived. No lotions/potions 2 hours b4 rads; since mine were early am just what was left there from the night b4. RO wanted me to cream up during the day. IMPOSSIBLE and it worked OK. I might not have had the breakdown I had maybe - and a big maybe - if I had been able to but it was not possible with my job. I was lucky to find decent bathrooms much less nice ones with room to strip down.
Edi - did you catch that shepherd?? My scones were OK. I'm eating them. The buttermilk was sooo thick that I had to add extra milk and they are crumbly. Eating them with a fork. Only had 1 tsp of sugar in them; I add more like 1 TBS and put I think what you call Demara sugar on the top. Isn't that the one that looks like crystals?
Whew, I'm out of breath.
TTYL - must do some chores. Dog needs bath, too. -
luvmy, hope that reassures Benny, I don't do topless either , would clear the beach lol.
My friend said same as yours, takes more time undressing than they take to do them.
Scones sound lovely must try them with buttermilk. Yes that is Demerera sugar. I make them sugar free, with sweetener or with sultanas then serve with butter and sugar free strawberry spread, yum.
Don't work too hard, x -
Benny you could probably explain up front about being afraid of needles and they will let you numb it up. I got three little ones like a freckle, you can hardly see them, it really is not a big thing to worry about but it sure makes lining you up easy and quick. As a warrior I think of them as my war wounds...but like you I was a little afraid, all for nothing!!
DH and myself have started a puzzle on the dining table and have spent 2 days now putting together a beautiful South Pacific beach, a nice thing when it's too cold for a walk.
Nahahi I have never skied into a moose, scary....but I hit one 16 years ago in a car accident. I was lucky to walk away from that with nothing more than a mouthful of glass and a terrible case of the shakes. The way the windshield popped down I was about 1/2 inch from a lobotomy....funny thing before I hit it I could feel something push me way back in the seat....maybe a guardian angel? Since then my DH has hit 3....and we are good drivers!!
Traii hope the arm is good, and Carlads hope you are still fairly SE free.
Hey Bev hope you are doing good!
Take Care everyone! -
- Potato chips
- Nuts and bolts
- Popcorn
- Ritz Crackers with cheese
- Butter flavoured rice cakes with Nutella
- Nachos with green onions, black olives, tomatoes and serious spice
- grilled cheese sandwich
- pizza
^ ^ ^ My new list when my stomach is better!
Edi, I am a BIG worry wort, always have been! And a wimp, a BIG wimp! Funny you'd mention demerera sugar. I love that stuff. I'm never without it. I was late getting home tonight so just opened a can of brown beans and they seem to be sitting okay with me. But my point is I always doctor up a can of beans by putting onions, barbecue sauce and demerera brown sugar (lots) in them. It fancies up a can of brown beans like no one's business!
Luvmygoats, thank you so much for the detailed description of rads. How bad did the fatigue get? Were you still able to function daily? Are the sessions typically at the same time every day? I'll be livid if they schedule me for 1 or 2 o' clock every day. Complete waste of a day!
Bearcub, having a jigsaw puzzle going on the dining room table has always been a family tradition. I bought one for myself over Christmas and really enjoyed it. I think I'm going to buy another one. A picture of the South Pacific sounds wonderful!
Okay, off to bed early tonight. Fussed over horse, groomed horse, rode horse, carried heavy buckets of water to stallions, threw hay bales to 32 horses, babysat new momma sheep (Eunice) and her 3 day old babies (Pancake and Waffles), shovelled front walkway and sidewalk, did supper dishes, finished laundry. I'm so happy to be productive again. Good night! *_*
-
Benny, you sure do go from zero to a hundred don't you! Too funny.
Bearcub - wow, hopefully you and hubbie have now filled your quota of moose hits. Amazing that you've come through them all relatively unscathed. Yep, I do believe you had an angel keeping you safely tucked back into your seat. Bet she's still there too!
-
Hi Ladies...
Had a great road trip with DH , DS , and my parents.......went on the paddle steamer and then hit one of the pubs for a yummy Sunday roast then a little play on the pokies......

Rad Tattoos......lI have 3 of them......got them 16 years ago.... I look at them now and think I am a warrior.....they have been my trademark. Then 2 1/2 years ago I got my sons name tattooed on my foot as another 'trademark'. They don't hurt, especially those tiny little freckles.....I think having a needle for a blood test would hurt more...lol.
my arm is a little better today still a little swallon, but keeping it elevated as much as I can.....Nihahi, I hate sleeping on my back so laying on my tummy is so much nicer for me...though I am waking up with aches here and there from a horrible sleep on my back with my arm up lol...then I have these sudden hot flushes so I'm up again in the middle of the night
so I can reposition myself again with my arm up...lol (such a sight) .....I normally sleep with my one arm under my body and the other under my pillow.....ahhhhh speaking of pillow, I'm in for an early night tonight I think......work tomorrow and I get a whole week away from the hospital this week .... ahhh I'm soooooo excitedHope that all you ladies have had a great weekend with minimal SE's. xx love to you all hugs xx
Oh and Benny, I had the nachos for dinner tonight....i couldn't be bothered cooking tonight after getting home from our road trip, hubby was happy with toast.....DS wanted KFC when we stopped off at the shops and I thought, hmmm....Nachos.... just salsa, cheese and sour cream...yummo. xx
-
Benny, golly gosh and gumdrops ! What a day you have had. Well done, hope you are still full of beans ( ha ha ) when you wake up.
What cute names for the lambs
Don't know if you can pick your rad appointments but my friend always asked for the earliest one 8.30 she had her own transport and even though it meant an early rise she was usually on her way home about 9 am. Whole day ahead free. She also said fatigue not that bad and you have the weekend to rest too.
We bought a great snow shovel yesterday, usually use a garden spade but thought we would be more organised if the white stuff lands.
Question, what are nuts and bolts ? sounds painful !!
My pipes feel almost normal today think the coating of gaviscon along with very soft stuff did the trick.Looked longingly at bag of potato crisps last night ( chips ) but had a scotch and coke instead. ((( HUG ))) xBearcub, think the moose population has it in for you and DH. They should be made to wear warning lights. So glad that Angel kept you safe.

Great info on rads I am raring to go.
Hope you have a glorious Sunday xLuvmy, Caught the shepherd he was delicious, even though made of quorn, really cutting back on meat now. Had it with sweetheart cabbage steamed with onions and tomatoes utterly yum.DH working tonight so enough in fridge for me to have again.
How many goats do you have ? and do you breed them. Edi being nosey again xLaters sisters xxxx
-
Traii, you posted as I sent !! Glad road trip good.Have a good rest. x
-
Edi, can I borrow your snow shovel? Snowing again here, but hopefully we aren't going to get too much this time. Hubby has a few projects planned for today, but after a night of little sleep, I think I'll just supervise. Of course, that will only last until he gets lost due to not reading the instructions! Hopefully going shoeing again tomorrow if the temperature gets a little nicer for the nose!
Carla - how is the headache today?
Have a great day everybody.
-
I think I overdid it yesterday, kinda tired today. I might just have to take it easy today.Edi, nuts and bolts is a recipe my mom used to make consisting of a whole bunch of tidbits: shreddies, tiny cheese nips, pretzels, peanuts, chex cereal, cheerios, etc. Then you put them in a big roasting pan with a pound of butter, some worcestershire sauce, and garlic and bake them for hours. The whole house smells divine. Some people call them bits and bites but we always called them nuts and bolts. Glad to hear the pipes are near normal. What Gaviscon are you using? I bought the caramel tablets but swallowing them is a chore and they didn't seem to help. The minty ones hurt!
Traii, that's how I used to sleep too, one arm under me and one under pillow. But since this chemo thing I have changed positions. I too woke up in a sweat this morning... either too many blankets or hormones, not sure which. The nachos sound sooooo good. I might have to wait til chemo is long over before I can tackle that.
Nihahi, snowing here too this morning. Sorry to hear about your missing sleep. Take it easy today and be kind to yourself. That way you'll be rested up for the good stuff!
-
It's only natural to think about death! I went between minimizing and catastrophizing. Sometimes within the same sentence! You go ahead and let every roller-coaster emotion take over, in its own good time. You'll reach a state of equilibrium pretty fast.
You did nothing wrong, to "cause" cancer; it is just that our cells go awry sometimes. Some researchers theorize that we all have immune systems that are fighting off little developing cancers often...and sometimes, for unknown reasons, some of those errant cells make it it past the body's natural defenses, and develop into a full-blown cancer.
Please keep us posted. We really, really understand the tears, fear, dread.
