Whoops! Forgot my boobs today!
In the almost 4 years after my BMX, I have often decided to spend the day flat-chested. However, I ALWAYS wear prothesis for school ( I'm a teacher) and work related events. I had an early morning meeting, so I was rushing this a.m. About 3 hours after the day began, I went into the restroom and as I was washing my hands realized... I HAVE NO BOOBS ON!! I work in a small building, with mostly women who are close friends. No one noticed until I bought it up. None of my students noticed - I have grade 1 & 2 so they probably would have said something. If the older students noticed they didn't say anything that was overheard. I might have to put a note on my steering wheel... "DO YOU HAVE YOU BOOBS ON?" You just gotta laugh sometimes!!

That's wonderful! It's great nobody noticed, too. I don't have boobs yet - I'm almost back to 100% after my bmx and thinking about whether I can get some lightweight custom-made ones, but they're expensive and I don't know whether insurance will cover any of the cost. I told my partner last weekend even if I had foobs, I probably wouldn't wear them much because I'd be too lazy to put them on. I kind of miss my "old ones," but I'm pretty happy that now I have a whole new set of options!

GottaLoveNED,
Great story! Says something about how comfortable you are with yourself that you could walk out of the house without your breast forms on and even more that you could handle the realization that you'd forgotten them with so much humor. Definitely, sometimes you just gotta laugh!

It is easier and easier to do as time goes by. Afterall, it is the real you.

So the update is, we were talking about it before school and the (male) principal said... I noticed... "I just figured you were having hot flashes or something." He said " I never would say anything". I can see that. So I said he would have to tell his wife who teaches there too and she could tell me. Because of LE they are a lightweight foam, and I don't wear them except for professional wear / dress occasions, so it even took me 3 hours to realize I had forgotten them.

GottaloveNED, it's interesting to me you wear yours for professional / dress occasions - as I said, I'm lazy, and I probably would only wear them for personal dress occasions or just to make myself feel like I look extra nice in my free time. I feel pretty comfortable going flat to work and I doubt anybody cares. I'm more afraid what will happen if I show up at work with a bigger chest a few months from now!!!
BTW, it occured to me yesterday - if I thought I had a pear-shaped body before, I am REALLY pear-shaped now.

GottaloveNED, thanks for the chuckle! Sounds like a great work environment.

I think forgetting to put boobs on is a big deal...it means your mind has wrapped around it and you are comfortable as you are. I am still learning to buy clothing according to what looks best, because flat is the most comfortable way to go.
it does not sit well with me to irritate the scars.....
