This is my first post. I am here to try to find help to support my step-daughter and her family. At her last six month exam she found out she had a brain tumor, two years after having a double mastectomy. Luckily the tumor was in a good place and the doctor was able to remove it. Next week she goes in for gamma knife radiation. Can anyone tell me the side effects and what comes next? I don't like to pester her with too many questions at this point.

Onward, welcome to BCO, although I'm so sorry you have reason to be here.  I don't have any information about your question, but since no one has responded to it as yet, I wanted to make a suggestion that you re-post it in the Stage IV section for more visibility by those who have dealt with this step of treatment.

Just go to All Topics (top of blue section to the left), then scroll down until you see Stage IV.  These discussion boards are quite extensive, and many of those BCO members may not see your question here.

I'm so glad the surgeon was able to remove your step-daughter's tumor, and I pray for more good news for her and your family.   (((Hugs)))   Deanna
