Anyone grade 3, weak(barely) ER+/PR+, w/moderate 2+ Her2?
Hi, The results of my surgery last month was as stated in the subject: grade 3 tumor (1.2 cm), barely ER/PR positive, moderate 2+ Her2 status. Sentinel lymph appeared clean. Oncologist is suggesting dose dense ACT because of my age and the aggesive grade of the tumor, but says that TC would be acceptable. Has anyone had similar results and had to make similar decisions?

Hi...
Wondering if they did a FISH test to make the accurate determination if the cancer is HER2 positive, boarderline or negative?
This is a very important test when you have her2+ moderate status. This would ensure she has the right treatment...
PM me if you have any questions....

Thanks so much for your reply, lelela. I've recently found out that the FISH results were 1.2 (not amplified), and that because of this and the 1 to <10% ER/PR receptivity status, the oncologist is classifying me as biologically TNBC. Were you in a similar category and if so how did they treat your cancer? I guess I'm worried because I've read that TNBC responds well to chemo, but I seem to fall into two categories: biologically TNBC, though potentially responsive to tamoxifin after chemo & radiation (which he would recommend trying based on "the relatively good safety profile of endocrine therapy." Does PM me mean "please mail me"? Thanks again for reaching out.

Hi Deb...
I myself was a her++ then fish came back not amplified as well with a 0.9.....
I was not low E/P+ but have family members that were and they did do Tamoxifen, however one of my Aunts had to stop due to the side effects and is still doing fine after 15 years!!! I am triple negative and had A/C and only 1 taxol as my bone marrow became too tired to continue even with all the Nulatsa shots. I have read and have been told that the A/C is slightly more powerful as it is used as the mainstay for node positive treatment. However, T/C does an excellent job for node negative as well. There is also a belief that some oncologists would like to save the A/C in case of recurrence as there is a limited amount that can be given in one's lifetime. With that said, either treatment in your case is very acceptable, and it is then a personal choice. There are woman on this board that are very low er+ and refuse to take the tamoxifen, and some that do, I hope some of them can come along with their prospective on it.....oh...PM means private message...feel free to PM anytime.....good luck....
