omega 3

Options

I am 10yrs AND 8 MTS out from BC and was ER ++++++. Did 5yr tamoxifen and 4 yr+ 2 mt femera. I started taking omega 3 and I noticed under other non medical ingredients it says soy oil and I am not sure if I should take this? Dr Oz says to take 600 DHA but I can't find one with this amount in Canada. What do you think please? bc hugs jinky

Renew Life just called me back...they make the Norweigen Gold omega 3 . They just came out with a new omega with 540mg of DHA. Can't believe it as that is great as the one I take now has 240mg. Best part it is being shipped to stores now and it has SUNFLOWER LECITHEN  not soy oil. Called cerebrum and in a red bottle.......Perfect.........

Hi ladies, just popping in to say that I take cod liver oil daily to avoid this issue.....also,

I was informed that I would get more omega 3 this way as opposed to the supplements.

I read in Prevention magazine an article that chia seeds were even higher in Omega-3 than salmon ... so I picked some up at the local healthfood store and started mixing them into my morning coffee. Feel even better than when I was taking the Fish Oil supplements.  Anyone else trying them?

BTW, I have been on Femara for 5+ years, onco intends to keep me on it as long as possible.

I actually found that the Vitamin D3 gel capsule I was taking has Soy Bean oil in it. I've been taking it for a year and almost flipped when I saw it. I will not take anymore so I went to the store and got D3 tablets that don't contain the soy.Gel caps have it in so they don't go rancid I think.

My onco also said there is no proof out there that Femara does any good after 5 years, so in about 4 months that's it for me. I"m hoping my body will transform itself back into a 63 year old one, rather than an 80 years old. Grrr.

Thanks for the warning!  I'll have to check for soy in all of the pills I take.  I hate taking pills.

I too am 63 and feel at least 80.

I check all my vitamins and some do have soy oil but my onc says that there is such a small amount it is ok to use.  I still look for vitamins without the soy, better to not take any chances!!  I was using ground flax seed as I have read it can destroy cancer cells but my BS said NO to flax for er/pr+. So I don't use that anymore.

I have to say....knowing Artsee, as well as I do, although, she may feel like an 80 year old woman, she is a very beautiful 63 year old that really doesn't look 63 at all.  Praying that when you are done with that drug your "old age" symptoms disappear.

I am going to start taking chia seeds instead, and I bought some whey protein mix to start putting in almond milk I suppose.  I try not to eat or drink any dairy though I do love milk.  I find almond milk a little too sweet but if it's better than regular 2% I will get used to it.  Found soem vitamin D that contains no soy, yeah!!
