Awwwww! Thanks Sheila!

Thanks Sheila, I am hoping all are well in the time frame that most us where diagnosised. Today is 3 years for me and HOORAY. from the time that they told me I had cancer. I am now getting to realize that time is precious and all on this board helped me more than most. Thank you and keep fighting Hugs Dianne

Hello Everyone, just wondering how everyone has been doing/ We all must be busy as noone as posted in awhile includubg me. It is good to have a busy life. just been thinking of all of you as it is aJuly and we all started this journey 3 years ago. All has been well for me as I have never had it better except for the dryness and drought. i have even been fighting fires around here. That is not a fun job and and is scary when it is your own land. have a great summer all. Hugs Dianne

Hi Dianne, Wow, yes 3 years ago & almost the end of the month already. Time flies quicker now than 3 years ago.
FYI-I've posted on other threads that my eyebrows never came back in after chemo very good & the ones that did are pale white, so on July 3rd, I got my eyebrows tattooed, Lovin' them! If any of you are faced with the same dilemma you should consider it.
Have a summer! Joni

My eyebrows never came back either. I never had much before. I ended up cinging them last winter and now they are about have gone on one side. I love it when time flies. I never hardly ever post, just look o nce and while. Have a great summer, I know I am Dianne

I finished my recon 3 weeks ago, getting nipple/areola tattoos. It took me 2 years and 3 months after treatment to finally complete it. So worth it, and very happy with results. Only dealing with s/e's from Femara and a few aches & pains that I am getting an MRI for next week. Doing well!! My first grandbaby just arrived on Thursday, so really enjoying that!! joni1

Happy New Year!

Hello everyone , Hope everyone is having a great new year. Happy Valentines day i have been thinking about everyone lately. Had a good friend die of a brain tumor this week. It strikes to close to home for me. She started out with ovarian cancer. over 4 year ago. Seems like alot of people get to that stage and then bam. Just wondering how you were all doing. Sounds like everyone is great. Sorry for the sad rant but you all understand. Hugs Dianne

Happy VD everyone!

Hi Joni and Dianne - sorry about your friend. It is hard to take.
-
Dianne, sorry about your friend. I still feel sometimes like I'm just waiting for bad news. I don't dwell on it, but I guess I just realize things could change at any moment! Wishing you all a wonderful spring (soon). Always wonderful to see all the signs of new life that spring brings"

Thanks for the kind words. Question for all, last week I was in 2 near fatal car wrecks. Walked away.i have been wondering again about my purpose in life. Was just wondering what others think and what they are doing. Have a great Easter Dianne

Remembering Lisa.......
♥ ♥
-
Thanks for doing that Sheila! Hard to believe she's been gone 2 years already.
-
I know Joni.....
She went to Heaven on my Birthday.......
-
& it was Mother's Day that year. Are you keeping up with her daughter, Tina, on FB? She & her husband are expecting a baby boy soon.
-
Good to see you all. Yes, I remember it was Mother's Day. That is great news for Lisa's daughter!
-
Hi Gilly! How's it going ?
-
On 2011 Mother's Day and my Birthday fell on the same date
no joni i was never friended with her daughter.....I'm happy for her
Hi gilly.......

Hi Sheila
Hi Joni - all is well here. Our eldest son is now in California and we are thinking of driving down in June, but it is unlikely we will be in your neighborhood. And next week I am off to England on my own for a couple of weeks. No sightseeing - visiting family and friends.
-
Well, have a great time!
-
Well, here we are Jedi's....4 years!! Hope you ladies are all well! Please chec in and give us an update:)
I'm doing great...still have 18 months left on Femara. I DO hate this drug and the effects on me. Still checking in with my Onc every 6 months, and after bilateral DIEP, have an MRI every 1-2 years . So far, so good!
On the upside, I joined the YMCA this year, participated in a 12 week Livestrong at the Y event, then just completed a 2 month Biggest Loser type competition there. There were 22 teams of 2 competing. My friend, who is also a bc survivor, and I lost 44 lbs and came in 3rd place!!
I can't post here without feeling Lisa's presence, it seems. She will always be missed.
Happy Independence Day......Hugs, Joni
