Wow, maybe seeing upside down is one of my SE's.  You are flipped on my screen - weird.

Soteria you look good to me! I'm viewing from my iPad if that's any help. Also, my onc said that my lowest immunity would be 10 to 14 days after chemo, so I'll be staying away from school kids the end of the second week!

I just had my first ac this morning then went shopping with mum. The public toilets at the mall sent my nose into a spin and we had to come home, via the DVD shop. I'm feeling a bit groggy and heavy but wondering about going out to get my hair cut short, we are only in the city for the night then heading back to resume our holiday!

Anyway, Sophia I'm glad you have had it better Than expected too.

Mfml the reason my onc gave was that the smaller doses more frequently seem to do away with the long term side effects like neuropathy I have a little from last time so really want to avoid that. I saw on here that they are doing the TC every two weeks now too. So it is good to know they have learned new things to help people in the last four years.

I am doing chemo again to reduce my recurrence. Oncotype came back high.

All cancer is gone and no lymph nodes this time.

Getting tired now so will sign off for today. Paula you still are upside down. How are your treatments going?

Soteria - Yes your Avatar appears upside down.  I just noticed that.

Sharon S - we are chemo cycle buddies. Smile  I'm so sorry you are having to go through a second round of this. Recurrence sucks!

My SE's today have been mostly fatigue, definite "chemo brain" and an annoying flush to my upper chest and cheeks.  I don't have a fever but there is a definite hot flushing going on.  My cheeks are also swelling ~ a look I have seen on many people doing steroids.  I wonder if they might be related???  So glad to be done with the decadron (steroid) for this cycle.  No bone pain yet but tonight will be neupogen shot #2.  I've managed a 1 - 2 mile walk every day since starting chemo and am hoping to be able to maintain that.

    mfml & SharonS -

I swear my neck was swollen in size after the shot, it was so odd.  The doc thought I was crazy but I know my neck was bigger.  I had terrible back and pelvis pain with the shot.

They gave me steroids with the treatment but none before or after like last time. Yes they do blow you up like a chipmunk. I have some of that today.

Nicole503 are you doing the taxol with the ac or later like me?

Yes I walked 2 before the shot yesterday and about 1.5 today.

I am a usual runner but cant run til Jan 1 which will be 6 weeks from my surgery. I would like to bc it will be my usual bday run and it is my 5 year anniversary from first cancer. When I got the path from right side it was AOK do I guess I can still celebrate!?

Paula, I'm seeing you upside down despite refreshing the page.  Strange.  Maybe tomorrow will bring a new perspective.  Literally!

Lee~I contacted the mods about it. It seems some people on iPads see it right side up. I posted from my iPad, so who knows. Please let me know if it appears right to you tomorrow.

    Blessings

Are any of you that see me right side up, on iPad? I am, and its right side up to me. Just wondering. This is weird, but the Mods are checking on it.

    Blessings

Just a quick note- My MO advised taking Alieve (naproxen sodium) before Nuelasta. I take it about an hour before my appt. and for the next couple of days. It really helps with the bone and muscle aches.

hi ladies - day 3 and 4 were a bit rough for me - super tired and achy but I am springing back today after sleeping for 10 hours last night!

I did yoga yesterday and it helped a TON with the aches and pains from the neulasta shot!  Try it - it might help!

I hope you are all doing well - let's just get through this and get on with our lives!  Thanks for all of the wonderful support - I appreciate each of you!

Hi, just been diagnosed with breast cancer on my birthday 27th december. Very confused and sad. Told some of my friends who are all very supportive. My family have rallied round too but i keep crying all the time, can't help it. I am so very scared! Should start chemo end of January. I don't understand the grading or stages. What is grade 3? Also I have a constant dull pain, is this normal? Thank you for your help.

Dan7 it will get better. I know its hard to believe. The motto one day at a time, and sometimes one hour at a time works for me. Grade 3 is how fast and organized the cancer cells are, you will be getting lots of information the next couple of weeks lots of gentle hugs. Also I have a dull ache too, from my tumour, so its not your imagination cancer does hurt. Lots of love and prayers.

Paula, you are upside down to me and I'm on a laptop.  Thought it was on purpose and I think it is kinda fun.  Wink kiwikid your pic is right side up for me, so the ipad upload doesn't seem to be the link.  Isn't that strange?

Dan7 - we can all help you through this ! All of us are at different phases fighting this and getting on with our lives but we can help with remedies and emotional support . You will be ok - the surgeries and treatments they have for bc now are very good and you just need to stay as positive as possible right now and I wouldm suggest read as much as possible on the various bc sites - so when u meet with your doctors you are better prepared .

Once you have your chemo date , you can join a thread on these boards with others that are at about the same stage with treatment and that really helps!

Runner girl - I think u are 1 day ahead of me on the TC correct ? This is my 4th day counting the infusion day 12/27 - and " me not feel so good " - so i can really relate to u . Just sort of an all over agitated feeling along with some aches in lower back and something happening in my mouth . I also have some pain in lower right front - maybe my right overie ? Staying hydrated does seem to help though - waking up after not drinking anything for 8 hours was horrible but now I have chai latte and apple juice and water and much better !!

Is my pee supposed to be almost clear all the time ? I guess that is from drinking so much but hope my kidneys are doing their job !

Yoga is awesome !! Just focusing on a point and standing on one leg and balancing is really good - relieves a lot of stress !

Sandra, wishing you back on that bike - flying down that trail - as quickly as possible!!!

I have a bike in the garage I never ride.  Maybe I should get it out and start pedaling (even if the ride back up the hill to the house is one I might need to walk up versus ride up).

Thanks for being an inspiration this morning!

Volleymom that sounds awful, I don't know what you can do but ring your MO and tell them because you shouldn't have to feel that way.

Dan1 welcome to the group no one wants to join. Everyone here is really kind, you should start a thread on the just diagnosed board, and lots of support and information will come your way.

Day 2 today and I'm feeling ok though I needed a sleeping pill last night as I was hyper from the steroid. The worst side effects seem to be a dull headache, a sore throat, sore legs when I stand for more than ten minutes and marginal nausea. If it was a work day I wouldn't be going.

I'm going to get a short haircut today. Looking forward to having the relief that I hear goes with losing the lot.

    Xx kk

Hi ladies! Day 3 post chemo 2. I had a weird night of sleep. First night without Ativan since Wednesday. I can't decide if I caught a cold or am having chemo SEs. Am definitely spacey and lightheaded and food tastes gross although I want to eat. My brother is stopping by and my daughter is here so I forced myself to shower (took two minutes), put on make-up, my wig and a Baltimore Ravens jersey since we are watching the game. Am trying to convey an image of all is well even though that's not quite how I feel. Fake it til I make it I suppose!
