Neuropathy?

Options

I just finished 4 DD AC and had my first of 4 DD Taxol yesterday. I noticed after my last AC that my fingers feel swollen (especially when I wake up in am) and they are painful when I try to bend them. Also bottoms of my feet hurt and now the tops of my toes. I did start the B6 and L glutamine yesterday for the taxol part to prevent neuropathy. But I don't have any tingling which I thought was neuropathy. Is this pain I'm feeling neuropathy or some other "gift" of breast cancer treatment?

    Hi Angel,

Of course, we always first recommend to consult your doctor about any side effects you're experiencing. In the mean time, you may find some information helpful on the main Breastcancer.org page on Neuropathy, including what causes it and tips to manage this side effect. In addition, some of what your describing is similar to the symptoms of Hand-Foot Syndrome, a common side effect of some chemotherapies. Click the link to find out what to do about this side-effect too!

    Hope this helps!
