Brain Mets -- Radiation experience, cranial/head region

So I just wanted to start off by saying my mother's breast cancer case is stage IV and mets to the brain required a cranial radiation therapy treatment to combat this. The symptoms she encountered were as follows:

-Sleepiness, fatigue

-Dizziness

-Hair loss...some say this is more permanent than chemo hair loss, is this true? I've read mixed things, hair grows back after this, or sometimes I read it doesn't?

She had the treatment about 4 weeks ago, and her checkup (a very important checkup) is scheduled for just after the new year. Diagnosed in 2012, hoping for good news in 2013.
