HER2+ adjuvant vaccine treatments

I feel "inappropriate" barging in onto this site. However, after searching for several hours here, i've yet to find any mention of the NeuVax Vaccine adjuvant testing ongoing throughout many sites (both within and outside the US). Participation in these FDA-approved treatment protocols might be of great value to those whose profile aligns with the Clinical Trials underway: Node Pos; HER2+;low to moderate 1+, 2+ expression; ER/PR either pos or neg. When my wife was diagnosed (2001) we searched through every possible avenue seeking any and all forms of treatments. Wishing only the best. dan

Thanks for your post.  I am sure many newly diagnosed will find it helpful.

You may wish to cross post it in the "newly diagnosed" forum because most women who are Her 2 1+ or 2+ are told that they are Her2-, even though studies have shown that they may benefit from herceptin.

Dan....while not in the Neuvax trial, SpecialK and I (and I am sure others on this site) are participating in a trial using the same ae37 peptide. This trial is in phase 2, going into phase 3 soon. It is for high risk, early stage, people. I go to Wake Forest. She goes to a hospital in Washington, D.C. We had to start the vaccine within six months of finishing our treatment.
