I am going to get my MRI results today.  Just wondering does the MRI definitely show mets or will I need a biopsy?

    While they can get a pretty good idea if it is mets from scans, they will usually confirm it with a biopsy. Sometimes that is not possible if the spot is too small or in a bad spot.



    Have you had a pet scan? That can show how metabolically active the spot is and can help determine if it is cancer or not.

    Just got my MRI report and it is negative!! What had showed up on the ultrasound didn't appear on the MRI so nothing further needed at this point!!
