Oh Bearcub, how awful for you! If I lived closer we could have gone together. Do you have 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive? Still, I've driven in weather like that and white-knuckled it all the way. Talk about bad timing for you :( What color was your hair before all this started? I think white sounds lovely. With my luck mine will come in grey :/

Lesleyanne, I am sending good vibes your way right now >>>>>> This one is going to be IT!

Another funny thing.... I had two men hit on me in Safeway tonight while I was sporting that look. Who knew pink ears would be such a come-hither look?? LOL

    Good morning.

Benny - love the look, the hat is adorable. Hope Benny is feeling better today and that you get out to see Diamond. Glad you are feeling better yourself. :)

Lesleyanne - you are probably through your surgery now, wishing you a speedy recovery and that this one is it

Edi - enjoy a wonderful weekend with your 60's music, sounds wonderful.

Traii - enjoy your party and your one glass of wine ;)

Bear cub - glad you made it there and back safely

Thank you everyone for the good wishes on my course exam, sometimes I'm not sure why I am doing this at my age but somehow my nursing career morphed into an IT Business Analyst role and I thought it would be good to have some credentials to back me up.

Hope it's the start of a very good weekend for all

Ladies, how quiet are we!! are we all busy this weekend ? NO SE's or very minimal ? I'm hoping so to you all.

Dakota, like that plan, come down to Australia ( Melbourne of course) Wink and we can all get on that horse and Benny can show us how it's done, as I have no idea :)

Websister, age is nothing...you will do great at your exams.....my girlfriend, 42 just finished last year a course in aged care and loving it...she even put her hand up to work the morning of Christmas as she wants to get all the people ready to share their christmas lunch with their family.

Well I managed to get out, what was suppose to be a couple of hours ended up being 5 hours at the party, it was great. I was not going to go as yesterday I had a very 'sooky lala' day. I just cried, and everything anyone could have said or done just got to me.....mum wanted to come and help with my son...I said no.....I felt helpless, he's my son yet I was having a 'day' that I needed to take control...I tried, I managed with my DH here. I know its the 'coming down' of the steriods....its HORRIBLE.

Even my wig that I get compliments over just 'didn't feel right' ... are we allowed to sook and say ' why me' even though we were the 'chosen' ones to go through this stuff ..... who knows.....we are all on the same mission yet yesterday I felt like I had lost self control. I'm usually IN control and I think thats what really knocked me back.

Thanks for listening to my 'venting' ...I'm better today, woke up like a 'new women'......hubby thinks that this is no different to before....lol.......I KNOW its VERY different to before :)

    Hope everyone is well.

Traii it's okay to have days like that, we all have them, it was good that you were able to get out and have some fun, and if only for a few hours let you hair down!....sorry had to make the hair comment!...hope your Sunday is a good one.

Jennie and Luvmygoats, thanks for the compliments. Luvmygoats, we have a couple of pygmy goats at the farm, Nancy and Stella. They are the cutest things. If I can find a picture I will post one for you.

Traii, withdrawal from the steroid drug was probably the worst part of the whole chemo thing for me. I had horrible withdrawals from it, felt like a bad 60's drug trip or something, and VERY emotional, crying over everything. It was horrible. The oncologist is going to cut it back this time, thankfully. Hang in there, it gets better, as you well know. Big hug to you (((Traii))))) ♥

Bearcub, love the new profile pic. Who is that adorable little one?

I made it out to the barn today. Diamond was a nightmare, but then all the horses were really freaky today, for some reason. I did manage to get this picture of her. You can tell she's really impressed ;-)

I love the Santa hat on the horse that made me chuckle!!! I VERY sore but ok. He had to revise the breasts so much I did not wake with nipples which I really want (the illusion they will never be real but I want the illusion for me and me alone). So there is a 2b surgery on my future, but I have consents far. I think I get a 6-9 month break though : )

Thanks for your concern and keep posting!

Thanks Bearcub, I did manage to 'let my hair down' Smile (I did have a chuckle at that one, ha ha )!

I feel soooooooo much better today.

So true Benny, I feel like I'm on this 'magic' drug of steriods and then 'coming off ' the drug makes me loopy......as this was my 3rd and final Taxotere and going onto a new regime in January I will only be having a smaller amount of Dex and through the IV whoo hoo......hopefully I'll be feeling more 'normal' ! Glad your onc will reduce your steriods for this round...sounds like it should be more under control.....Neurlasta shot, less steriods...YOU got this girl !!

Diamond is looking so cheeky with the santa hat on...love the photo though, glad you managed for her to 'strike a pose' Smile

Lesleyanne, glad you are ok .... never mind about the nipples, I have to 'be rid of mine' when my BMX time comes next year....they're talking about tattoos or something instead..so long as I have something there I'll be fine......glad you are on the mend :)

Edi, cyber mummy come in whereever you are party girl...are you at the pub again ??

Dakota, how you going hunni.....I know you are fine as your kids are getting you through all of this just fine :)

Websister, hope you are having a good weekend and studying......hope your mums all good

Bevlee, how did you go with chemo, its been a while just hoping all is ok on your end and you are not experiencing too many SE's so you can enjoy your Perth sunny weather with your little man :)

Everyone else I've missed hope you're having a great weekend

    Hi Warrior Sisters !!
Back from MAD 60's weekend. It was just what I needed to set me up for chemo no 3 on Tuesday. Don't care what they do to me now, had beautiful food, lots of laughter long walks by the sea and communed with the angels.( Was sober at the time lol )

It was DH's 66th birthday yesterday and they made is so special for him. Our dinner last night was a 6 course Xmas meal, that was unexpected ,then a cake with loads of candles appeared and the whole dining room sang and cheered. It was lovely that it was all about him for a change. The cabaret singer then sang to him as well. He keeps watching the video and smiling. :-)

Benny, Wow !! you look like a new woman. Cute hat and even cuter you.Wig is gorgeous no wonder you got hit on.

Hope Benny better today. Diamond looks really festive in her hat lol.

29 days, flippin heck but you did it and we are all thrilled to bits for you. Only way is up now.Keep on doing better everyday.x

Bearcub, you are amazing ging out in that snow. I would have just cried. Hair will be decent length before you know it. My scalp is still stubbly and driving me mad. They do say your hair really fights to come back and they ain't kidding.x

Les, Glad you came through ok. Was thinking of you whilst away but no wifi. Hope you heal well and soon x

Traii, Cyber Mummy back YAY. Well done on getting to the party. You want to cry, you just cry Cyber Mummy does too at the drop of a hat. I will be buzzing on Tuesday with the steroids then splat a few days later. A friend of ours was having a ciggie outside the hotel and I was inhaling the smoke drifting over his shoulder and the temptation to have a proper drag was overwhelming. I gave the dam things up 42 years ago !! We druggies never learn lol. How is DS ? x

Dakota, R u ok ? how are your little people /x

Websister, Hope all ok with you ? Defo not chemo brain with you just you have so many irons in the fire. Roll on a restful time for you. x

Bevlee, hope you are doing ok. Not to many SE's. x

Jennie, Luvmygoats, big hugs, and to anyone else I may have missed.

    Laters Edi x

Ugh, I am tired today. It seems that I still cannot manage two activity-filled days back-to-back. I always need a rest in between. I hate that! I'm going out to the farm anyway. Tongue Out

Maybe I'll have a nap afterwards. Does anyone else nap during the day? I always feel so guilty doing this, like I'm wasting valuable time.

    Edi, your weekend sounded FABULOUS!!!!

Benny, Hi it was thanks, but had little nap here and there to recharge the batteries. You have  come such a long way, give your body time to build up the reserves of energy. If you feel tired have a little nap.It is not a sign of weakness just your body telling you it needs  rest.

Hope you got to the farm.

    Edi.

Edi...happy birthday to your DH..glad you all had a great time :)

Benny, when my little one naps...I figure if he's recharging his batteries then I will either play my games on FB. .lol or nap...even half hour I feel better and can wake up and start on dinner!

So yes nap nap nap if your body is telling you then listen :)

Then you can go shopping and get 'hit on' and feel even better...lol

Likewise, I was in shock when I recently found out I have occult breast cancer.  Primary source unknown but my axillary node was grade 3 ER+PR+HER-highly differenciated and very aggressive.  But I then had 15 nodes removed and all cancer free....I am not having a masectomy as my surgeon said with occult BC they treat it like stage 2 BC and results are the same.  Aggressive treatment-5 months chemo then localized radiation therapy.  It's very very frustrating!

    Hi Erica

Sorry to hear about your DX but glad you have found us.

It is frustrating, but you will get through this.

    I am grade 3 with ER/PR + and HER-

At least this can be treated with hormone tablets also if this is what your onc decides.

Good luck with your journey and keep us posted, we are all here for eachother :)

Bloods ok, they said if I wanted to wait they would let me know today ! Such a relief phew.

Erica, sorry to hear of your DX we are here for you if you need anything please ask.

Dakota, Reiki has no massage involved just her hands over chakra points. You can feel the warmth and healing flowing through your body.

Reflexology is gentle pressure from her fingers on the soles of your feet. ( No it really doesnt tickle ) then wonderful cream rubbed all over your poor skin. I have been to her for 15 years and it is a real treat.

If your lymph scars are stiff and sore i have found Bio Oil sooo good. BC nurse said it is ok to use. You can get it in pharmacy or on the internet think E.bay or Amazon. Heals scars, helps stretch marks, and blemishes.Very smooth and gentle my scars really smooth and comfy.

Traii, hope day at work not too yucky. Get sucking those lemon drops for the furry tongue.

Benny, hope today you have some energy ?

    Hope you are all ok

No energy today plus f-f-f-freezing outside so stayed in and rested. Next chemo is booked for Wednesdat at 0830 and I am terrified. Websister is meeting me there, thank goodness. I haven't even fully recovered from the last one over a month ago.
