Joni, I read that last night just before bedtime.  It was just what I needed.  Was feeling pretty down yesterday, it would have been Brother's 67th birthday--and just 2 1/2 months since he left us.  Thanks

    Beautiful, Eph, Thank you.

The wedding is in 9 hours.  I am the only one in the house awake...listening to the rain drip off of the roof.

Meece, It will be beautiful.  Be sure to have a video camera rolling so that if something does happen out of the ordinary, unexpectedly you can submit to Funniest Home Videos Laughing

It all went fairly well.  Patch wasn't expecting the flower girl to throw clumps of petals as they walked down the aisle.  It caught him off guard and distracted him enough his daddy had to walk half way down the aisle and pick him up.  He was a doll during the ceremony and did so well.

There are issues at work and I need to have discretion on how to handle this.  Please pray for me, and that I will have peace no matter what happens.

Meece, may God surround you with peace and grace during this trial at work. May He put one hand on your shoulder and the other around your mouth.

Went to the cardiologist today.  I am hoping that the stress from my former job will subside and its absence will make me feel better.  Until then, my Dr says I am too young for a pacemaker and if he goes in and burns anymore, I would most likely need one, so he has added another rx.  I am nervous about adding more meds but trust my dr.

I hope all of you are doing well.  Please check in...

Meece, what is your symptoms? As you know, I got a pacemaker this summer as my heart would just stop. I don`t think you could ever be too young to get a pacemaker if that happened!!

Most of the time it is in the evening/night.  I'm asthmatic, so I know what it feels like when my lungs are congested or constricted, but in this case, my chest gets a feeling like something heavy on it, and my heart beats hard (not fast)like it is trying to push against the pressure.  I also have short spurts of tachycardia.  Since the ablation, the tachycardia doesn't last nearly as long as it used to.  But, it does occur several times a day.  I just got my new rxs this weekend and he has doubled the dose of the one I was already taking, and added.  I think he was trying to flatter me with the "too young" comment.  I figure that will be an option sometime in my future.  I hate to go to the dr. and complain, I just wanna be fixed!

Ah, a "tight chest"...I HATE that feeling!!! My DH uses puffers and I've tried to see if that helped me but it didn't. Mine is heart, not lungs. Maybe the news drugs will help?? I've been on heart meds for the past 19 years!!! None got cut when I got the pace maker either.....  Talk to your doctor about TIAZAC. That helps open my arteries so my heart doesn't get overwhelmed when I lie down. I take it at night. It has helped with that tight chest feeling. Obviously everyone needs to consult with their doctor, but something I said over the years had my PCP recommend Tiazac and what a difference!!! I used to feel every heart beat when I was lying in bed, and now nothing. I've been on it for years as well.

I will have to remember that.  I go for follow up March 6th.  He doubled my beteblockers and added a glycoside.  So we'll see.  I know what you mean when you know it's not your lungs.  I've only been on meds for 6 years, after my ablation.  So many things to learn, ugh.

I don't get the glycoside? Do you mean Hydrochlorothyazide? What did you get your ablation for years ago?

It's a digitalis based drug.  I had the ablation for severe tachycardia.  My heart would beat too fast for me to count the ryhtm for 20 minutes or more.  It could be set off by a telephone ringing unexpectedly or nothing at all.  There were many places in my heart that were short circuiting.  He ablated most of them, but the remaining ones are too close to the central node, and he said if he tried to burn them, I would most likely need a pacemaker immediately.

Ah. My DH had an ablation years ago so that's why I asked. They happened to catch a weird rhythym on a Holter Monitor and that's what they did for it. Let us know how the meds are doing for you. (A pacemaker isn't 'that' bad...just make sure you are put out for it!! I won't do the exchange in 7 years without being put out. My own surgeon said the cardio surgeon probably didn't wait long enough for the freezing to take effect as I felt most of it!!!)

Ladies, I'd like to add our BCO sister Elimar to the garden for prayer.  She is now battling colrectal cancer.  She had CT scan last week with a bad reaction to the dye & now between that & the 24/7 chemo is undergoing her mouth is a battle zone & she can't eat/drink, etc.  Her docs have taken her off the chemo momentarily while they try to reduce the mouth problems.  She's really having a rough time.  She has said to me before that she doesn't "believe" like me, but we know God loves her just the same.  I'd like to ask God for a Christmas miracle on her behalf with complete healing & if that's not His Will, at least for healing of her mouth & good result from treatments.  Thanks...

    I will pray for her.

And the list gets longer, too long.

Please, Dear God, bring healing and wellness to our dear sisters.  Amen

    Amen.

Eli~ and I have also had coversations regarding her beliefs.  We have agreed we will respect each other and that I am free to keep her in my prayers.  To quote her "What could it hurt?" She has been so inspirational to so many women.  Adding humor and wit to an otherwise ugly situation.

Dear Father, please be with Elimar as she travels through this valley of shadows.  Help her to see your light as a result and may you open her heart as you heal her body.  In all things may Your will be done. Amen
