    Umesh, I  was around your sis age when diagnosed with a 10cm lump and chest wall invovement and possibly 1 node.  Please tell her although we all want statistics they really don't chaulk up to anything. Cancer has no rhyme or reason.  I am here to encourage her! My friend is about 20 or so years out to. I try and eat good and try to work on stress which is hard.Exercise is non negotiable and I believe it is keeping me alive.

    HI 

    I was diagonosed June 2011. I had chemo, double mastecctomy and radiotheray. I recently had two operation to replace and then remove implant due to infection. I have lymphodema in left arm and musle damage in right arm. I have endometriosis and a cyst, I will have a laparoscopy soon. 

    I have had a rough year and I was wondering do I get to survive more than 5 years after all this. I am tired most of the time. I am just about 40years old.

    I am not depressed , generally i am a very grump and happy person. 

    Doctors and medical personnel are not that great at answering my questions.

    I say.....live like you'll live to a 100 and deal with any different news only when you get it....

    I am over 9 years out with the worst possible breast cancer......8cm tumor, 17 nodes positive, in the skin...popping out of the nodes....

    I know my good fortune can change but I don't want to miss out on the good days I have now.

    and just think what medicine will be like 9 years from now.....soooo much better.

    I think you should hang onto the great stories here and believe you can stay ahead with all the new research....there are so many good things in the pipeline.

    Hi Laura. I just popped in and saw your post. I was dxed on May 26,2005 with stage IIIC! I am fine and wanted to let you know, that you will be too!Cool It all gets easier with time.

    Always good to see your posts, Linda, (lkc) There aren't many -er-pr  gals out there that I can find who are Stage lll. Wish we'd here more from them. You're an inspiration to all of us!

    I became a 20 year survivor on October 24th! Such a great place to be but.........my sisters wouldn't acknowledge it. I find this so disheartening. Perhaps I expect too much. I still have severe fatigue problems and this is my biggest problem other than so much weight gain. I came back positive for BRCA 2 and then had a right mastectomy and ovaries removed. This was in '08.

    wow! I just wish I can get to the point you are. I have similar treatment, chemo, surgery, and radiation. After I finished the rads 01/31/17 I constantly have worries about recurrence every time there's a symptom. What kind of problem do you have, if any, with Arimidex, how long do you have to be on it? Also, do you have mammogram on your right breast every year? Last, do you have to change your eating habits to include more fruits and vegetables? Hope you don't mind answering questions.     Scar88, BIG congratulations on your 20 year mark! That is wonderful news.

    I am coming up on my 14 year mark in March. I pray I will see that 20 year mark as well.
