Back of Right Shoulder joint pain! pls. help

Options

Hello Ladies! I am seeking for some more advice. I have completed the A/C treatment portion of my chemo regimen, now I am on Taxol. Have done two of four. I experience the neuropathy which come and goes. Now I have this pain which seems to be from the back of my right shoulder joint and radiates to my elbow then my hand feels kinda numb and swollen at the same time, its kinda weird to describe. Has anyone else experienced this while on chemo or should I have it checked out? I have had this for about two weeks but the intensity grows when I move my arm back...any advice?

When we get breast cancer, every ache and pain brings the fear, "Oh my God, it's spread". I've had that happen twice in the last four months, once with breast pain, once with joint pain. Never figured out what made my breast hurt, and it went away, but I figured out after the fact that the joint pain came from how I used a shovel gardening.

Having said that, I just read in CURE magazine online that the time to tell your doctor is if the pain is persistent and worsens over time. If you have a regular check-up coming, tell your doctor. If not, and the pain persists another week, call and report it.

One idea, try Advil aka ibuprofin. It is an anti-inflammatory as well as a painkiller, and may help. But let your doctor know you are using it.
