Side effects...questions.

Hello!  I just completed my 19th rads treatment out of 33.  I am wondering if mild nausea and headaches are common.  Both are mild in nature but have been showing much more so in the last few days.  And I am finally feeling some of that fatigue that they said would happen.  Just checking to make sure I am not a little nutty...Laughing

Nutty?  Well, can't answer that for sure!  I often felt mildly nauseated after treatment.  I made sure I was well hydrated, and it really never got worse for me.  Irish oatmeal with fresh blueberries and maple syrup always made me feel better.  Or a nice smoothy.  I expected to feel worse than I ever did, I'm pretty lucky.  Hope your symptoms remain mild too!

I never felt nauseated, but did feel incredibly fatigued as treatment progressed.  Oddly enough, as tired as I was, I was also a raging insomniac.  My oncology nurse recommended melatonin.

I had both! Also a weird feeling in my throat. My headaches would come on late afternoon, and felt like pressure in my head. RO said to eat more- especially protein, and often.

Thank you for all your replies.  It's not debilitating or anything...mostly just strange.  I will increase my protein and see how that goes.  I really can't complain given the other SEs of other treatments.  I know it will pass. Laughing
