Prevent disease with hemp

Options

I read an interesting article on facebook today. It was on a page for Lope for Hope.  It talks about the benefits of cannabis and how effective it can be for bc. I am going to start juicing leaves and see how it works as an antioxidant. It is supposed to be very potent in its natural state, uncooked, unsmoked, the juice is apparently the most potent part of the plant. Any one have any thoughts??

I say if it doesn't do more harm then might as well try it. My onc was not thrilled to see the article, he said he has been looking into that for years and is not sure it would work or help but I will try anything!!

I also have heard the effects of hemp on breast cancer. My husband is a huge proponent of a hemp extract called CBD. This derivative is available online now.  While I am not 100% reliant upon this as being my only source of treatment, I do have it in my treatment arsenal.  I use the salve for my surgery pain and scars and the drops as my internal treatment for the cells themselves.

Here is a link to the study:  http://www.freedomisgreen.com/how-cbd-from-marijuana-fights-cancer/

The company that sells the product is called Dixie X.

ckgrayoh - I live in a state where MMJ is not legal but went to Michigan and got an MMJ license to use it, however I was to only use it in MI; it was very expensive.  I did not juice it rather measured it on a gram scale and put it in capsules to swallow and I made sure I purchased the Indica plant which has a high CBD level.  It was such a hassle to travel from my state to MI to purchase from a dispensary that I let my license lapse after the year was up.  However, it was very effective for the joint pain from Tamoxifen.  Good luck.......Akron is not too far from Michigan.

oops -  meant this post for LiveItUp.

thanks to rcurtisra for the link, due to it being "not appropriate" to view at work I will look at it when I get home, my work pc is blocking the site.  I have a friend who grows plants and keeps up on the medical industry and the potential legalization in Ohio for medical purposes. I told her not to hold her breath as Ohio is typically last to do anything.  She grows all organic and is saving me clippings so I can try to juice them.  If I can my hands on some CBD I would like to try that. My onc says he has looked into hemp for the past 20 years and doesn't really think it will work but it can't hurt and I for one will try anything as long as it doesn't make the bc worse.

They actually talked about the company producing the CBD tincture, Dixie X, that you can buy online on 60 minutes on Sunday.  It is not inexpensive, but for women in states where it is not legal currently, it seems like a nice option.  I am just curious as to what the appropriate dosage should be to get the most benefit.  I can say that it does not at all give you the "high effect", which I personally like.

Interesting... I will have to search around to see what I can come up with on dosage.

Hi Everyone!  I use only raw cannabis to treat my breast cancer.  No chemo, surgery, or radiation.  I get dried bud and grind it up and add olive oil to it.  Then I stuff it into gel capsules and take this every 3 or 4 hours all day long.  It does not get me "high".  I have been doing this for 4 months or so.  I never have had a bad day in all this.  I feel great...lots of energy...haven't missed a day of work.  I have stage IIB HER+++.  I will have a CT Scan on the 12th of December and find out what's going on.    I will let everyone know what the results are!  God Bless,  Joeybirdie
