-
good news, keetmom, one down three to go!
I did get out for a slow walk yesterday but spent today napping and reading.
Finished Gone Girl. Good book! Worth the month-long wait on the reserve list.
Will take off tomorrow but back to work Weds. Got off the narcotic pain pills yesterday (TG for MOM!) so I'd be legal to drive but my carpooler will drive us in & back the rest of this week.
Gonna go watch DWTS. Have a good week ahead, ladies! ((hugs)) to all

((((Badger)))) love ya darling!
This just happened this morning...my reconstruction is this Friday! Yup...in two days.. oh my. -
Badger, yay! Fuzz,yay too.
-
I'm ordering one Foob, for here (not "to go") with all the dressings....I'd like it well done and more than enough if ya know what I mean...wink wink....
-
congrats fuzzy on speedy recon date!! Better to have it done now versus late Dec, right?
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, or something like that wink wink nudge nudge.
Everyone have their Powerball ticket? I only bought one, but wouldn't it be nice! ((hugs))
-
Fuzz, I would would think you would want a foob "to go"! It's not any good to "leave it all on the table" now is it? LOL
-
WAHAHAAA!!! Good point!! I'll have em wrap it up then...LOL
-
Badger - oh now that song has changed forever!! LOL
-
LOL fuzzy, your mind went just where mine did on that song!
Best wishes for tomorrow! L&H&P's

Hello Ladies- surgery went well. I talked to my doctor today and I had a reaction (stopped breathing) to the anesthesia so they had to reverse my pain meds to get me to breathe! Glad they were paying attention! LOL He also told me he looked around in there for...you know what....and saw NOTHING! I was worried as I haven't had a scan or test to check...in almost 2 years....so that was a huge bonus!
-
hey fuzzy, thanks for checking in - yay for breathing! And good for seeing no...YKW.
Did a Jingle Bell 5K walk this morning in windy cold weather (but no s-n-o-w). Warmed up later but so glad I wore my silk long johns. Lots of walkers which was nice to see. Usually, everyone is running and it's me and a handful of others walking. Next year, I will wear my reindeer antlers!
Take care everyone!
-
Fuzz, so glad they got you breathing again! Holy cow! I bet that woke THEM up! Bet things got a little noisy and busy in there for avwhile. How long you in the hospital for? Hope you got a good view. Are you on 5 or 6 floor? Take care.
Badger, glad you felt good enough to do the Jingle walk. Glad you enjoyed it.
Much love. -
Just letting you know, my MIL passed away this morning quietly in het sleep. Guess she wanted to be home for Christmas!
Fuzz hope you are doing better. Badger how are you doing? Gina, doing ok? And hope everyone is doing better too. Much love to all. -
Moon...I am sorry for your loss sweetie. Sounds as though it was very peaceful.
I'm home but really feel terrible. Watching my temp now...I'm super weird with that stuff though...low blood pressures and body temps...so, when I get a fever, it normally drops...so it'll be 96 degrees and the docs think my thermometer is messed up. LOL
Ugh. Going to shut my eyes again. Night night everyone. -

hi ladies, Monica sorry about your MIL but glad it was a peaceful passing.
Fuzzy, glad you're home but sorry you feel crappy. Rest up and heal sweetie!
Doc's office called yesterday with path results - no cancer - yay! I (heart) NED.
Everyone else doing OK? ((hugs)) to all
-
Hi Wis ladies
I think one of you connected with me on a different forum when I was asking for PS recommendations in my area (central WI).
I am awaiting revision surgery on Dec 21st, as I am not happy with the outcome of implant size & shape (it is less in size & does not project as nicely as the native lifted side, so I am going back to see if it can be improved. I reconsider my decisions all the time, am I doing the right thing, why am I putting myself thru another surgery, it goes on and on? I am 55 and I am not going to enter and swim suit contest but I would like the foob to fit bra and not be lacking.
Of course insurance always plays into it,want to get it done this year as deductible already met.
Now the newest thing I have lingering is that my 95 yr old mom who is of good mind, and fairly healthy, 1st mentioned a breast/mass back in Sept-Oct . Her mammo & ultrasound both come back abnormal. Some say that they wouldn't put my mom thru a biopsy, what is it going to accomplish? If it is cancer you won't be putting her thru treatment. I had appt Mon. for myself with BS and Oncologist and asked them about it / they both said they would recommend having a biopsy to see exactly what it is and go from there. Has anyone had to help make these decisions for an elderly parent or grandparent?
-
(((((Hugs everyone)))) CONGRATS BADGER ON NED!! WHOOT WHOOT!
Janice....what does your mom want? She sounds totally capable of having the discussion. And, if she gets the biopsy and path report, she may decide on treatment or not...or lifestyle changes or not....maybe its not very aggressive..I take care of my mama and she and I talk out this kind of stuff a lot. Good luck. -
hi Janice, I'm the health care POA for my mom so we talk medical issues a lot. She's 82, a 30+ years BC survivor with heart issues and bad knees/hips/back. For sure, I'd discuss things with her. If I know my mom, she'd have the biopsy because she'd want to know what her options were, but decline treatment if they found something. Good luck with that and revision surgery, glad you could get it in before the end of the year.
I'm in the SW part of the state, in the Driftless area, and commute to Madison for work.
Monica, thinking of you and your family, hope your hubby is doing OK.
Fuzzy, ya hanging in there kiddo?
Gina, want to try for lunch next week? I leave for Florida the week after next and will be off work the rest of Dec (love how the holidays fall this year) so am crazy busy right now but would find time if you can.
Take care everyone! ((hugs))
-
Badger...oh boy...this just isn't a whole lot of fun!! Since the port was removed too I have very few options for comfort! LOL in January I should be ready to get out and about....could we plan a get together? Maybe a little north this time? Enjoy your vacation!
-
Fuzzy - you bet I'd be up for January as long as the weather cooperates!
So your back hurts, and your front hurts, and probably your sides too.
How in the world are you sleeping? Sitting up in a recliner? ((gentle hugs))
-
I've been sleeping with a Teddy Bear I call Percocet...LOL....I was so weak I basically stayed in one spot for days.
January it is then!! I'd love to get to Wausau if that's not too far for everyone...there's a hotel up there with a pretty decent restaurant and entertainment on weekends...just kicking ideas around though... -
sounds like fun! (the get-together not the Perco-bear)
-
Wausau is a bit far, but maybe if I spent the night, it could work. Maybe not, its a long drive, almost three and a half or four hours. But, I do like to drive, hmm. Will have to think. Fuzz, hope Perc o bear keeps you happy!
Badger, NED is great!
Janice nice to meet you.
Gina, hi! -
Hi Ladies,
Monica, sorry to hear about your mother in law but it sounds like it was peaceful. I hope you and your family are coping ok.
Fuzz, sorry to hear that you've been in pain. Hopefully, each day brings you more strength and less pain.
Badg, I can't make it for lunch next week but let's try for January. It has been crazy busy at work and it's taking a toll on my good nature. I'm running out of "nice"! I just know I will be chained to my desk until 12/31. I hope you have a great trip to FL! Did you see that Sunprint is moving to my side of the square? Not sure when they open.
Gina
-
hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing OK. No snow here yet but they say it's coming.
Is anyone a fan of Winter Silks? I got a mailer with a promo code for 30% off, good Dec 9-26. LMK if you're interested and I'll share.
Gina, I hear ya! Good luck plowing through the end of year work.
re: Sunprint, they have a sign posted that says Dec 28 last day at old location and Jan 10 target date for new location. That would be a good spot to meet for lunch in Jan. Let's touch base after the first of the year when things slow down (ha!). Anyone else interested? Let us know.
Fuzzy & Monica, sending good thoughts your way, and ((hugs)) to all.
-
((((All))))...
Today is probably my worst day...I don't have a fever but I have bone pain all over, chills, heavy head...and of course I'm sore and stiff from the procedure. Ugh. And...I'm WHINNIE!! LOL its the first day of that. LOL
Snow? Tonight? Oh I love the snow in December....I'll have to check TWC.
Hugs and smooches to all of ya all!! -
fuzzy, I also love snow, DH hates it and thinks I'm nuts but oh well, c'est la vie!
Maybe an inch tonight, then nada until midnight Sat, then 3 inches into Sun a.m.
Of course, they're totally guessing and are frequently wrong but still get paid LOL.
-
LOL!!! Yeah...that's a really good point! Doesn't DH know...we're all a little crazy!! WHOOT WHOOT!!! There's just no other way to be!
My DD will be transferring out of the UW...heading for LaCrosse next year. So, if there's anyone in that area who'd like to hook up...that'd be great! Anyone know anything about that school?
