3 YEARS AND COUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi my dear friends, it has been a long time between posts for me................
Nov. 13 2009, that was my Day, we all have are marker! That was the day they took out my 4.5 cm tumor and my 10 out of 17 pos nodes..............3 years ago!!!! I went to see my MO 2 weeks ago, He walked in the room and said congratulations, 3 years!!! He was so positive...........I said so what does that mean, is it good??? My doc said, very good!!!! So then I felt like I had dodged a really big bullet!!!!!!!!! I asked him, when will that day come where I am not at high risk anymore?? He looked at me and said, you and I both know there is no cure for BC, However every year that goes by is progress it is good, our odds go down.............So I guess I am celebrating, but, with hesitatitation...........I feel thankful and so very grateful that God has granted me the grace to watch my children grow 3 years more, birthdays , christmas, thanksgiving ect....at the same time I still wait for the day I wake up and don't think of cancer ever!!!!!!!!!! You know what, I think it just may be that the fear of the big C and I just co- excisit........I know it can come back, and I choose to live, I live with that knowledge, However I do not let it rob me from living and laughing, and raising the kids, travel and love my husband and kids more then I ever thought I could!!
Yes, I have survived 3 years, I am alive , blessed and grateful!!!!
You have all been my life line for the past 3 years, I love you all and pray for my sister's everyday......and always will...
Non of us asked for this journey that we are on did we......... I guess it's knowing that we are not alone, sadley women are dx everyday..I STILL PRAY FOR A CURE, I also know I may not see it in my life time but, I pray that our children will see it!!!! Bless you all and for the women starting out, 3 years went by really fast, don't forget that each day is one day more that you are beating this and you are living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My love to you all.....................xo
