    Thanks for this detailed info!

I am wondering- would INS possi;ly cover that ?

Sure seems like it should as it is cheaper than lots of what we have to order thru med. supply cos.

    Anyone know ?

ALSO- If I also have LE in arms and hands is this type of garment advisable or would it be counterproductive ?

    Anybody ?

    THX!

It is $45 at legluxe.  They sent me a 15% off code with my order.  It says it is "just for me," but PM me and I will send you the code.

With respect to whether garment is advisable for someone with hand/arm lymphedema.  I have LE in my arm and hand, but I also have some mild truncal issues (mainly side/axilla/back, no breast) and I am using it to keep it under control.  I don't know whether it is bad on arm/hand LE to wear compression shapewear if one doesn't have trunk issues.  I can't wear a bra (exacerbates my arm/hand LE), but the short sleeve cami doesn't seem to.  KS1

I've been wearing the small Memoi short sleeve cami without any swell spots for about a week, and I really like it!  Since wearing it, I've had no side/axilla/back swelling or discomfort.  When I wear bras or no sleeve camis, my arm & hand LE tend to act up.  So far, the short sleeve cami hasn't caused any problems  ... if anything, my hand and arm have been better than usual.

Purple - Very pretty tanks, but I dunno.  With the "metallic stripe" I'm worried they might be a little hard on my skin.  I can't tolerate "textures" well at all.  Has anyone had a chance to examine these in person?

No, I havent. You have  a good point.

Being the holiday season and looking at prices, I thought I just might order a few and  gift them to to others if I just  tried the  on and saw they weren't right !  All of " our items' are just so darn pricey.

Has anyone seen or tried the spanx for men tee? They have v necks too. Have a close up view of the back to see if this compression would be suitable.(There is a set-in compression panel in one of them.) I am not sure about that kind of compression. the other tee has full compression everywhere. Expensive.78 dollars aprox.

I like one of the posts where someone wants a tee with a built in bra.

If you look for sewing gloves or craft gloves you'll find several different styles.  One brand that looks good is Dritz...

I am way behind on this list...And thread.

Purple- the bra 2 posts up that you linked to.  For me I dont think it would have enough compression for day.  I would wear something like that for sleeping though- I actually do wear somethign similar that I got at Kohls.

    This Bra: http://www.onehanesplace.com/outlet/bras/champion-bras/champion-double-dry-distance-underwire-sports-bra

I found at a Hanes Outlet Store. (buy 1 get 1 50% off).  I bought 2.  I have been wearing them for about 2 months.  They are the best I have tried so far & I have tried about 15 other sports bras.  This does have an underwire.  But it doesnt cause a problem for me.  or bother me.  It is a little high...But I can still wear it under most of my tops without it showing.

I liked the Bali comfort bra...it was soooo comfortable and the only thing that I could wear for the longest time that even remotely resembled a bra

    http://www.nylingerie.com/bali-comfort-revolution-smart-size-wirefree-bra-p-68435.html?Product=3484

unfortunately I may have progressed beyond being able to wear it now...I'll try again once this flare settles

I use the surgical 1" bra or surgical 2" bra from

    www.marenagroup.com

I had to sew my own pocket in for my prosthesis, but the bras work great for compression.

And so comfortable too - just like a sports bra with great compression.  Amazon sells them

as well on occasion.  I wear one true to size during the day and ordered one a size bigger to

wear for sleeping.  Really helps my trunk LE!

o2bhealthy-the link you posted the Bali bra- that is the bra I sleep in.   I have to wear more compression during they day.

Purple the Champion Bra link from Hanes has alot more compression then the Genie Bra.

Has anyone ever tried a Soma Vanishing back bra?  I need the most compression on my sides...I havent tried or felt one before- so I have no idea how strong the compression is on them...The most expesive item you buy today is 50% off + free shipping...http://www.soma.com/store/browse/shelf.jsp?cat=Bras+New+Vanishing+Back+Collection&subCatId=cat5969283&catId=cat40089&icid=glossary_VB

    Sassybax Armed and Dangerous...

SASSYBAX Armed and Dangerous Body Shaper

I think I've found a new sleeping shirt... It fits good, very comfy...

    I'm waiting on this one

The secret solution with 3/4 length sleeves.  After I try it out I'll decide if I need a couple more, and of which style.

It looks nice, but all those vertical lines on the white one would surely be mapped ino my skin.

I posted my new dritz  glove review on all things gloves and sleeves thread  btw.

Cindy and Purplel, My le therapist would like the stripes in the sassybax tee, When I wore Solidea le sleeve, it left long indented stripes and she said it didn't have much compression but at least the stripes are going in the right direction of fluid flow. So yes to the indentations as long as they are not too deep. My breast swell spot leaves light foam chip indentations. I think it is suppose to do that isn't it. Any one know about the swell spot leaving indentations, Does it move fluid better?

The Sassybax stripes are fine--I wore a Sassybax cami for a long time before WearEase came out with theirs (WearEase is covered by my insurance as both a mastectomy bra and a LE garment; Sassybax is not covered as either). Swell spots do have to be worn in the correct direction because the stitching directs the flow. Whether it does or not has never been proven with research, to my knowledge, but it makes some sense, at least. Personally, I know if my Kimbe swell spot gets twisted sideways when I'm wearing it, it's less effective.

Sassybax was considering making actual lymphedema compression garments for truncal a couple of years back. It sure wouldn't hurt if some of us sent them emails again to let them know you'd love to see some LE wear from them. Please do! Here's their "contact us" page--use the customer service email address:

    Thanks!Smile

Has anyone tried a Genie Cami Shaper?  I saw one in the "as seen on TV" aisle at Shopko, and it seems like  a possibility.  It was inexpensive (under $17 with discounts) It has a built in bra (not a shelf bra, actual cups with foob pockets) and nice feeling fabric. The seams seem relativley flat and non irritating.

It looked great, but buyer beware.  I saw these reviews:  (and pls  see my comment at the end also)

reviews for “Cami Shaper Reviews and Complaints”

    1. Dorothy says:

Thanks for taking the time to write your reviews, you all saved me some pain!

    2. Dorothy says:

      you guys saved me THANKS!!!!

    3. cynthia goodman says:

Liked the Cami section but the Cami and bra combination did not fit well. It feels comfortable but did not like the overall look.

      • sharon says:

I just finished reading the reviews and am so glad I did! I was going to order these but definitely will not after reading. Guess I should know that when something sounds too good to be true, that it usually is! Thank you all for saving me the aggravation of these things!

    4. amy says:

Cami shaper arrived within 10 days of ordering it. The first day I wore it my family asked if I had lost weight. It does not stay put and I am constantly adjusting it throughout my day. I also wear my regular bra under it as I feel my large chest is not supported in it.

    5. T Akins says:

Wish I had seen these Cami Shaper comments before ordering. It’s been a nightmare!!! Ordered the Shaper and Panties on 12-24-12 and still have not received them. Am being told should received them 3-25-13!!! Found similar product in TARGET and it’s working just fine and for less money. Will cancel my order today!!!

    6. Lisa says:

Happy I dodged this….thank you all!

    7. Liz Gregory says:

I received my Cami shapers and Did Not like the built in bra. I actually cut out the bra section. I wear my own bra and love it! They should recreate the Shaper with out the built in bra.

      Liz

    8. Bermygal says:

I am SO glad that my sisters have shared their disappointments and experiences. God bless you. You saved me the stress and trauma that you’ve been through. I don’t even want to look at the TV commercial again. What a joke huh. Thanks again for sharing.

    9. tj says:

I called Camishaper customer service earlier today but they neglected to give me the Required Return Authorization number for the 6 items I didn’t order…after reading all these horrible reviews I am just going to return all of them (since I have to pay to return the ones I didn’t order anyway).

I called again to get the Required authorization code, I waited a total of 14 minutes to speak to the customer reps. They have assured me that I will get the full amount refunded once they get the item(s) back…let’s see how long that takes!

I order items everyday on the internet–this is the first time I have ever had such a thing happen. I truly believe their “3 for” and “3 payments” options cause problems…why would I order NINE ???!!!

I too am looking for soemthing for my breast/ truncal.  Now that I see Binney says her iNS covers Wear Ease , I am going to chcek and see if my INS covers anything first.  The Wear Ease does look good.

    Cindyl

Do you ge mammos ?  IF SO, they do flare your LE?  ( I also have breast LE)  Thanks!
