Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Basically I just want to know if its a natural product and safe to take regularly. I have tried so many things and it seems to be the only thing that ever works. I have been doing really well with only eating natural things, no processed food no sugar, just fruits veggies and nuts and I use chia seeds in my smoothies. Getting really frustrated because I want this diet to be cleansing and when you're not pooping regularly it completely ruins it! So I try natural things and then finally cave and take the senna pills. Cascara whatever doesn't work either! I just don't want my body to forget how to work on its own. Thanks everyone and I hope you are all enjoying this day. I won't expect a reply today :-)

I take senna also. The bottle says it is a natural vegetable laxative.  Can't go without it due to some medications I take.  Perdiem is a stronger version of senna, and works pretty good.  Sometimes a cup of hot water with lemon juice will help also.  I drink lots of water, vegetables juice and fresh fruit smoothies and salads, but it's just not enough.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, and to everyone.

Senna is natural but your body can become dependent on it for elimination and "forget" how to work on it's own. Senna tea works well too (traditional medicinals makes "smooth moves" which is available all over) but the box warns that it is for occasional use.. Prunes stewed with a little lemon juice always work for me.

HLB, I would strongly recommend pro-biotics. All the cancer treatment does a number on your intestinal flora, so strong measures are needed to right the ship again. Get some acidophilus or similar from the drugstore and take one with each meal for 1-3 months. Once your intestines start working normally, you can drop down to one a day for maintenance.

That's what I was worried about, being dependent. I never thought of probiotics. I haven't had chemo for 8 years; I think its the femara or maybe the xgeva or the calcium or a combination. Its not all the time, but enough that I need something and I can tell when it happens I get extremely tired and fall asleep at work. Not good and abviously poising me when I'm trying so hard to do the opposite. Thanks girls.

One that always works for some reason is brownies, but I have given those up. Maybe I could come up with a healthy brownie recipe with stevia or agave and cocunt oil for the oil part. May look into that!

HLB, oatmeal brownies, just for you:

Melt 150 grams 70% chocolate with 1/3 cup veggie oil, leave to cool a bit and meanwhile mix together 1.25 cups rolled oats and 1 cup chopped walnuts. Beat 4 eggs into chocolate mix and stir together with dry stuff. Bake in a small tin lined with nonstick paper. Bake at 375 till set and cut in 12 brownies. There is no sugar in this recipe, except the sugar that is in the chocolate. The brownies are not sweet, obviously, but very chocolatey. Each brownie has 225 calories, 11g carbs (4 sugar), 20g fat and 6g protein, 52mg cholesterol and 3g fiber.

Wow that sounds awesome! Thank you momine! I'm not sure what 70 percent chocolat is. Is it like semi sweet? I wonder if I can use unsweeted and add some stevia or agave. I love brownies and I also love oatmeal cookies. I think I will like them. I have all the ingeds you mentioned except the chocolate but I do have a box of cocoa powder. I'm sure I can make something good. I might try it tonight because I am nice and comfy and feel like staying in.

HBL, 20 minutes or so. Experiment. 70% chocolate is very, very dark chocolate. It is sweetened, but not very much.
