Los Angeles Area

Never been there. Is the place conducive to talking? I would like to be able to talk with others to get to know each other. if it is a noisy, crowded place, it may be difficult to do so. Maybe a quieter place that is not so difficult to get to and park. i have enough stress in my life.........
-
It is likely to be crowded, I've not eaten there before, but I'd guess it's likely to be loud. Anyone been there?
If we're changing locations we should look for somewhere that will take reservations too, especially for a group.
-
I actually agree with CookieMonster... not a big fan of City Walk - would rather meet somewhere else.
Mother in law lives in Encino - can totally carpool
-
Yes, it would be crowded, and usually loud. I'm not from the area, so.....I'm certainly open to suggestions?
-
I don't know the Valley (San Fernando) so have no suggestions for that area.......It seems that it's more central to meet there, but am certainly open to the City.....
-
What about Ernies Mexican food? It's at the corner of Lankershim and Moorpark, across from the big church...
Might be quieter than City Walk and who doesn't love a margarita!
-
I've been to Ernie Jr's but never to Ernies. I LOVE Mexican food though, I'm up for that. They say to call for reservations too, so once we know numbers I'm happy to call.
-
Sounds good to me.
-
I'm down for December 1st! I'll also think of some places twherehat a group can gather and be heard. Will post some ideas once I think of them, in the next day or so.
-
Ernie's sounds fine. 4410 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91602
6:00 pm, Sat Dec 1st?
-
That sounds great, I'm in!
-
I just found out that I have to work on the first... totally want to get together, but might be better for me if we wait until after the holidays. I have 4 kids and so much going on at this time of the year.
-
After the holidays is fine with me. A Sunday afternoon/evening would be best for me, if possible
-
Can we keep Dec. 1 for those who can make it and then plan one in Jan. or Feb. too?
Don't want hurt feelings, but would also love to gatther.
-
I agree, let's keep Dec 1! Gotta start somewhere, even if there are only 3 of us! DM13, we will meet again after the holidays!
I can meet earlier on Dec 1 (lunch vs. dinner) if that helps anyone driving any distance.
-
Hi Ladies,
I am in LA also but not sure what will happen as I am going to start chemo soon.
Nice to see people from the area...live a bit east of there closer to Covina/Laverne area.
-
Can't make it earlier on Dec. 1. As it is I may be an hour late.
-
Pessa. Ren. Cookie and me! Well, that's four. Anyone else for 12/1?
I'm scheduling a surgery sometime soon, but not by Dec 1st. So, I may not be able to make it after the new year in Jan or Feb.
-
Pessa - should we move it to 6:30? I can do 6:30, anyone else?
-
That would be much better for me. How about for others?
-
Anyone know the best directions to get there from LA?
-
6:30 PM works for me. So far we have me, SheChirple, CookieMonster and Pessa confirmed. YAY!
Bcoct, if you are feeling OK it would be great to have you join us!
So should we all wear a certain color so we can recognize each other?
-
Definately NOT pink!
-
I am going to play it by ear... will know last minute if I can come.
-
I agree on the no pink! I hardly own any pink anyway.
If anyone is coming from the west valley/simi/or other convenient parts and wants to carpool, let me know and we'll organize it. I'm in Encino.
-
Cookie - I'm in West Hills and could hook up with you on the way. Hopefully I'll be able to make it.
Maybe we all should wear sexy black....
-
Hi everyone!
I was SheChirple's roommate in Vegas! I live in Simi Valley. Can I join your group?
Juli
-
Welcome Juli
-
Thank you for not suggesting we wear pink.
I like the all black look!
-
Thanks, DM13!
SheChirple will know me... I'll be the one in purple!
Juli
