Dancing with the Stars

Not from me Chabba - I voted on Facebook on my cell phone and on my landline and not a one for Kirstie, as much as I like her it's all about the dancing from this point on for me, can't believe the season is almost over, only two more weeks. Tonight I loved Melissa and Tony, Shawn and Derek and I even liked Kelly and Val.
-
My fave couple dance was Melissa & Tony's quick step and my fave trio was that crazy tribal samba from Shawn, Derek & Mark. Honorable mention to the jive from Kelly, Val & Louis (what a ham!).
I couldn't tell Apolo from the pro in his trio (Sasha) and I am so jealous of Kirstie's hair!
Going to miss tonight's results show, so enjoy it extra for me ladies.
-
pretty happy with the results tonight.....although I do like Giles, I think that he was destined to go before the finals anyway.
-
UGH! Another week of watching Miss Pouty Face!
At this point I don't even care how well Kelly can dance.
I'm just sick of.......I don't even know what to call it... Lack of personality?
She can't even crack a smile, much less show the audience how much she loves being out there on the dance floor. Therefore for me, it's not pleasure able to watch her dance, and I can't bring myself to root for her regardless of her skill level.
Dang - I must be cranky tonight! -
Miss Pouty a.k.a Kelly was sure showing a lot of cleavage tonight. Didn't care for Brooke's white dress.
They design some costumes now with a skinny little belt like thing that sits on bare skin just below the waist and then attaches to the front of the panty part of the outfit...like what Peta was wearing last night...and it always reminds me of the old belt for the sanitary napkins of days gone by. I don't care for it.
I'm not sorry to see Giles go, altho I'd have preferred it be Emmett. I think, tho, that DWTS viewers are often gonna vote more patriotically, like for a football player or an Olympic medalist and not for, say, the French guy. I think it was a deciding factor last season when Donald Driver won over Katherine Jenkins.
Great season so far! Can't believe it's the semi-finals!
-
I did like the results last night although I too would like to see Miss Pouty Face voted off. I wonder if they thought if they showed enough cleavage it may help keep her on.
-
But it is just sort of wrinkly looking cleavage, not particularly attractive cleavage.
-
interesting combo's of dancing tonight!
-
My oh my, I am in love and in awe of Shawn and Derek's dancing. I so LOVE that she puts him through the paces and he gets out of breath. They were just very, very impressive tonight.
So were Melissa and Tony.
Didn't care for Appollo's first dance, now getting ready to watch his second one.
-
LOVE Katherine Jackson being in the audience!!!!!!!!!
DWTS gets the stars!!!!!!!!
-
So far, I've LOVED Shawn's first dance, and Melissa's second dance. Not as crazy about Apollo as the judges were.
-
I didn't care for the Apollo dance either - just seemed off!
-
Want to see Melissa and Shawn stay on for sure, want Kelly off. Neutral about the guys, although I think Apollo has more talent than Emmett.
-
I agree Ruth. I admit I've been captivated by Apollo since the Olympics though.
-
All my votes tonight went to Melissa and Tony to try and get them into the finals, not really enthused wth Cheryl and Emmett everyone else I loved.
-
The second Apollo dance I loved. It's one of the only times this season I liked his dance. Karina's white outfit was exquisite.
Yep, I'd like to see Emmett and Kelly go and see a semi-final with Shawn, Melissa and Apollo. Altho I give them both credit for hanging in there this long. Oh, and I always wonder how those women run up those steps in such high heels to get their scores after dancing, and then last night Val carried Kelly all the way up them! Crazy! I'm tired of their lovey dovey kissy kissy stuff tho.
It's been a great season!
-
Carrie Ann seems to be all over the place with her voting....I couldn't believe she score Shawn so low on her second dance, which I thought was perfection.
-
I think it will come down to Shawn and Derek (he's an awesome coreographer) and Melissa and Tony. They are both great, but Tony just isn't as good a dancer and coreographer as Derek and in the end, that and the fan base is what is going to win it. Of course, I've been surprised before!
-
Oh, I think you're right, Kaara. I think Shawn's being an Olympic gold medalist wins her the patriotic factor. Both she and Melissa have matured so nicely since their first seasons on DWTS. And they both give us wonderful, entertaining dances.
-
I think Melissa is great, love Shawn! Think Shawn will win it.
-
7:18.....so far, so good.
-
Well, two of our favorites will be there...tough luck about Apollo.
-
Yes, I think he should have been up there with the other two. I am going to cringe if it is Kelly....but I'll bet it is.
-
Yea, we'll soon find out. Melissa is reminding me of a young Mary Tyler Moore.
-
Ah, I never thought of that, that's probably why I like her so much!
-
well not sure how I feel about this - but am glad that Shawn and Melissa are in!
-
Wow, how did Kelly get to the finals? Looks like you called that one, ruth!
-
The soap opera fan vote, I guess.
-
Would rather have seen Kelly go than Apollo but otherwise I was happy.
-
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Another week of Miss Pouty Face!!!!!!
Sorry to see Apolo go, but oh well..... and I wouldn't have been all that upset to see Emmet go, either. He's slowed down quite a bit lately, it seems.
Shawn and Derek: awesome!
Melissa and Tony: hope his choreography lives up to Derek's. Whatever complaints I have about Derek's incessant mugging for the camera (MUCH better than he was several seasons ago when he started), you have to admit, he sure can create beautiful dances. I love Melissa's positive spirit, and she really is a good dancer.
Kelly and Val: Ick. Yuck. Gag. And OMG...those Speedos? Puh-LEEZE!!!! I do like Val as a pro, though. Tonight was the first time I saw Kelly smile. Only it was more of a smirk. Sheesh!!!! That woman can NOT get a break from me!!!!
Looking forward to next week when Shawn can really pull out her bag of gymnastic tricks!
