Neulastim vs Neupogen

Has anyone used both, but only had side effects with one?

I took a shot of neulastim after each of my AC infusions during the summer and had very minimal bone pain from it. Then I started taxol and there were no injections afterwards. I just switched from taxol to taxotere and was given 4 needles of neupogen to use afterwards. The bone pain was breathtaking! I am thinking of asking my MO if I could have neulastim again instead next time, hoping that I will still have minimal side effects from it.

Anyone have a similar experience?

I did neulasta after 4 AC treatments, and was fine. However I know many women who suffered with neulasta; I had actually heard that neupogen was easier because it is given several times in smaller doses. But I guess it just depends on the person.  By all means, you should ask about the neulasta -- however, recognize that the other variable in your treatment is the taxotere (versus taxol) and that may be the culprit not the neupogen.
