Hi,
I'm just stopping by for a little chitchat before going to bed. I'll not be running through the stores X-mas shopping after Thanksgiving dinner or even Black Friday. Always exhausted Thanksgiving weekend!
I hope everyone has a restful night.
-
OK I've been up, some diarhea (not again, so soon) well maybe I caught it in time I gobbled some pills right away. And I'm not running shopping for anyone. The last few years I've don it on line with good results so I will continue my road to not shop among people.
And yes our little Markat is growing up. She has her wn accounts and will be among people using her manners (I hope) and all we've taught her well, and she's taught us a load of things. Isn't it exciting markat.
Oh I forgot to tell u another reason aI don't like to go out. when I was trying to put my jacket on I struggle a bit and my pants fell down. And I acted like nothing happened. And in my depends I stood for a second then pulled my pants up. Si u see it's hard to take me snywhere.
-
-
Cami - ha ha ... hope you had the "pretty" ones they try and convince you look like real underwear.
Bruises fading to yellow and green today. Apt to go back and see gyn on 26th about surgery. Get MRI results on 27th. And on and on it goes.
-
Jane the neverending story of Drs.--Im sick of them. I'm happy u'r healing. U still have to be hurting tho.
And I did have my old lady depends on--they're cheaper LOL
-
Just watching the news and heard the craziest thing. It was a story about a little boy who decided to give his Justin Beiber tickets to a six year old little girl who had cancer through a charity here in Ontario. In the news piece they were telling the little girl's story. Apparently she had breast cancer and a mastectomy at age 3!!! What the heck is going on in our world?????
-
Omg Jane thats crazy. How would you even find bc in a 3 yo?
Camille, that happens to me every once in awhile. My thighs are bigger than my waist so if I don't wear a belt they fall down.
We refi'ed today and I had to buy a new phone. Busy day! -
Jane a 3 yr old girl---WTF--that horrible. How could that be. Wow
-
Cami - If it wasn't on the CBC - the national broadcaster, I would have thought somebody was BSing. The charity that arranged the tickets actually runs a summer camp for children with cancer ... very reputable. I went back online and read the story again ... thought I must of misheard, but no. Incredibly baffling.
-
Sad, sad. Can't imagine. How can parents begin to wrap their minds around it all?
Markat--hope you enjoy your new job.
camille--hmm. suspenders?
bgirl--best wishes for appts. Mine is the 21st. Don't wanna go.
Teka--can't picture a single hermit out and about with "holiday" craziness. Best time in the world to hunker down and pull the covers in tighter.
whaevah--
Have a good weekend.
-
I'll hunker down in the recliner to write and address X-mas cards during Thanksgiving weekend.
Also, enjoy the last weekend before all the "holiday" craziness!
-
Teka I don't do crazyness---I decided a while ago--I'm done with that--So I shall aboid all that. LOL
Skittle love that cartoon--u are so right.
-
Wow. 3 years old...bc...MX. What a bummer! That is heart breaking.
My new hairdresser's nephew was born with a malignant mass on his back. He had to have it removed and go through chemo. Not breast cancer, but cancer none the less. He just turned 1 year old. 2 Fridays ago the family received the news of clean and clear scans. What a terrible first year for him and his family! Yah for clean scan!
It is crazy when these little ones get this horrible monster so young. Something is wrong with our world today. Contaminated water and food supplies. All of the man-made intervention/interruption to natural things. Oh, this is a big soap box for me. I could climb up there and rant, rave and preach all day. But, I will spare you.
Happy Saturday to all my hermit friends!
-
Fl I agree. Something is definitely wrong with our food. I really wish we could have a safe food supply that wasn't contaminated with chemicals.
-
FL I think we all agree, something amiss in all that we consume--even bottled water--who know where it comes from--it's clear so it looks fine--We can't drink our water in our home it's awful. Years and years ago my cousin would say the big plan to wipe us out will be our water, so now add all the pesticides in fruit and veggies and steroids in our meat and fowl and even fish (it goes back to water) so we don't have a chance.
My oldest DD is on her way here and my SIL and his frind are taking up carpeting in the kitchen and putting some new stuff in---I don't like all this confusion neither does my Katie-Kat. She's hiding somewhere. And our Dogie isn't to thrilled either.
-
Skittle..lol! brilliant... loves it
Raining cats and dogs here. miserable grey day, perfect for the cave! Overdid it at exercise yesterday, DH grounded me. A weird thing for me during chemo; food and exercise, seems I cannot do both within a 3 hr period. My BP drops rapidly, no gas in the tank for digestion. The little meal idea works ...sometimes. Sometimes the Cheezie meal is boss.
Imagine, me listening to DH. Must be the end of the world.
Can't go there on the kids with cancer. Went there last year.
markat, looking forward to SNL tonight, hope it's funny...oh, and I am having a glass of vino tonight, in honor of my almost done chemo stage...my hand is a little cramped, SE of Taxol, perfect grip for a wine glass!
camillegal, looks like it's you and me babe, hiding out in our rooms, let the workers work, my dishwasher arrives tomorrow, no more misplaced anger
happy weekend hilarious hermits
-
Oh and HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!
-
Yeah I'm here--My oldest DD cam over for a couple of hrs. and took my grandson home with her for the night. I already miss him. silly me---he'll be home all next week from school, but I really don't get tired of him cuz when he's with me I've always told him to act like a 30 yr old. He has said he really doesn't know hiw a 30 yr.. old acts cuz he's onky 8 and I told him don't annoy e that's all---so he acts so good that's why I can be with him so much. LOL
So the kids might just go out tonite???? So I'll be alone but I have our Dog now so I'm allright--my cat is no help--what can she do meow someone to scare them. I'm crackin' myself up. I get goofy when I'm tired. As u know.
So I'll be around
-
Camille that stinks about the ruckus. Hopefully it will be over soon.
whaevah I'm looking forward to our show. I don't really know who the guy is hosting? At least it isn't Anne Hathaway. Glad you're feeling like drinking and that poor repairman can be let out of your basement.
I've been way too busy this week. Went to Abby's soccer banquet today. I'm trying to figure out this new phone also. It has Swype which is really cool but difficult to figure out. You scribble over the touchscreen to letters to type. Seems like it's taking me way longer.
Where's KLTB? I hope rads are okay and the puppies and kids are good. -
So quiet here this weekend!
I missed SNL. I fell asleep. It was the best sleep I've had in a long time. Maybe I need to continue this running around like a crazy person...
We are celebrating my side of the family's Thanksgiving today. Thanksgiving day will still be crazy because we will go to DH's mom's house then my mom's house that night.
Hope everyone is doing good.
-
Morning hermits, Hubby was actually home last night and hogged the computer the whole time. Didn't want to gripe as had to get up for work this morning. So I knit and watched TV.
Cami - here's to peace & quiet in your home.
Markat - I worry about that. I always have trouble with touchscreens on everything but the bank machine. The girl at the photo place had to get me a tool to use (she couldn't believe that it wouldn't work for me) and I have had trouble elsewhere. Need a new phone, but worried that it won't work for me ... and I'll just look like a moron tapping away at it.
Had to go out for business the last couple of days, but just to deliver orders so not too social.
-
Markat I hope u have funn today--and so good u had a goodnights sleep--U really needed that now.
Jane it has been quiet here. And I'm so untechy that I don't even know what u'r talking about. LOL
-
Hm. Noticed the quiet, too. At the moment, too hermity for words.Wishing you all peaceful Thanksgivings.
-
Busy gnawing on bacon, and cleaning for Thanksgiving.
-
Thanks Camille, I did need it.
Jane, blackberry and a few other brands still make phones with regular key pads. I almost always use my phone to post from. I hate sitting in front of a computer. I should probably get a tablet of some kind but this phone is almost as big as one. DH or the kids are always on the desktop.
My shoulder/neck is hurting so bad. I'm wondering about fibro again. Or maybe it's from always holding this stupid phone in the same position, lol! -
Markat u'e better not be in pain---take care of u'rself--u'r etting better tho---good.
I think I'll be the only one of us left for hermitude--everyones leaving the nest . LOL
-
I've managed to put off cleaning while searching on-line for a new bedspread.
Threads seem quieter on weekends.
-
Teka right about the quiettude----Either they are busy or just pokin' around. Me, I'm my usual lazy hermit, but that's all right with me. It's kind of chilly out here so I'm all cuddled with my Katie-Kat.
-
Cozy ;o)
-
Teka u r a woman of little words. LOL
