I am very happy to have been here to listen to all of you and make this new garment! I don't think we'll be able to make a cover, but it is something that I will continue to consider.

For the nighttime/dayttime argument, I don't want to wade to far into that as it should be something that each individual should discuss with their therapist.

Unfortunately, there are no studies to either support wearing a daytime garment at night nor any that report requiring a night-time garment. The issue of a lack of true level 1 studies for this aspect of lymphedema treatment rings true for treatment in general. At the end of the day, it's going to come down to the recommendations of your therapist and physician and how you your body reacts to compression that define what treatment will be best for you.

I forgot to say that the price will be $60 for the set (sets only). I'm still waiting to hear back from the foundation that we plan on donating $10 for every set sold and will announce once I do.

I'm sorry for those who have to wear a glove and not a gauntlet, but because clinicians recommend wearing hand compression and we don't yet have a glove, I still need to make sure that someone doesn't just wear the sleeve.

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time last year and gastroentrologist told me to wear sleeve and glove during procedure so they would not forget.  So probably okay for short procedures.

I just ordered my new LympheDivas Hospital/LE Warning sleeve.  I plan on taking it to our Lymphedema Support Group this month.  Josh do you have a formal name yet for this sleeve? Thanks again for your work on this project!  Smile

Just ordered my "hospital" Lymphediva's sleeve and glove. I really hope I get a good fit.

I talked to Josh and asked what is coming up on the market and he said they are finishing a glove(flat knit, seamless but feels like a circular knit). yah! Aslo, sad news that his sis in law has developed truncal LE but... there is always a good side to a bad side of a story and so they might be making truncal garments in the future. Yeah! I hope the sis in law posts on our threads to get our support or anyone else for that matter.

Mods are suggesting that Josh from Lymphedivas doesn't post anymore. I think he is permitted to PM though. Mods can you correct me on that? I don't want to violate any rules. :)

Gotta go for my walk now!

    OUCH!
I know there are rules, but were they violated, mods? I found him to be extremely helpful.

Josh,. pls consider colors for the gloves...at least BLACK.

So sorry about sis in law .

I don't see any harm in letting someone with a business answer questions about that business and their products as long as their identity is plainly visable. JMHO

Re: Josh from Lymphedivas. Forgot to tell you that he says that 10 dollars for every purchase, (I believe that is for the Hospital garments) will be donated to Lymphatic Research Foundation. Nice.

Purple, When I said, I don't want to violate any rules with the mods, I meant because I directly talked to him about the glove and then posted the news. I didn't want the mods to think that I am soley promoting his business which is a no, no. I just meant to announce the gloves because I know that we are so excited when any products hit the shelves that we can't keep it to ourselves. I can't wait! I want gloves, gloves, gloves, camis, camis, camis and a cure for LE which is great that Josh is donating to research to end this stupid LE. And.... what a nice guy because his dollars go to possibly finding a solution to LE which in the end may put him out of business. :) I am waiting with bated breath for the gloves. :)  :)  :)

    ummm mods..I understand why...BUT

here we have someone in a postition to help actually helping.....

I don't think this is really different then a doctor posting, since they offer medical services for hire.

AND I do not wear lyphedivas...they do not fit me at all, so I would much rather get to speak to someone from juzo or barton carey or solaris...

On my bride message board we had an "ask a vendor" thread

Seriously, I realize you may be conceren about a precident, but this is one of the few examples of BCO actually getting something done, instead of just letting us gripe.

Could we have a thread for vendors to reply to questions....

I am sure Josh is reading, even if he cannot contribute to these posts. So Josh, if you are out there, YES to truncal garments! And please be creative about garments that can be used not just as undergarments, but also could sub for a shell or scoop-neck T suited to be seen, i.e. worn under a jacket like a wardrobe cami.  On another thread sometime ago, we had a conversation going about dream garments that UnderArmour might make, and these involved keeping the neckline scooped enough front and back of the neck, that we could wear a shirt under and with a variety of necklines of sweaters, jackets, etc., and also relocating the UA logo so that it's not front and center on the chest.

Ditto what carol said!  The sleeve issues are dealable, but trying to find garments that work with a variety of work clothing is challenging to say the least.

If any garment manufacters are reading this and thinking about offering truncal garments, I would urge you to  have an option with short sleeves.  The following short sleeve shaping cami might serve as a starting point

    http://www.legluxe.com/product/shapewear/body-shaper/shaping-camisole/MSM-130

It's just "shapewear" and not meant for LE, but it provides good axilla, upper arm & back coverage, and the neckline isn't too high. KS1

Do you wear a sleeve ?

I would think this would be impossible to wear together, no?

    Hi Purple32,

Yes, I wear juzo sleeves (soft or expert) with silicon band on the top.  The sleeve of the shaping cami overlaps about 3/4 of the width of the silicon band.  The sleeves of the shaping cami aren't tight.  I describe the short sleeve cami

Has anyone tried doing something with bra forms or pads and attaching them to shirts so that they did not have to wear a bra?  I get too hot wearing those shape wear camis in the summer but thought somehow the other could be a year around solution to keep from worrying about cutting off the lymph drainage.

I finally got around to ordering my "hospital" style garments from lymphedivas. I got derailed by a dog attack and the cellulitis watch following it. Thank God it bit my non LE arm but I had a big scratch & hard bump on my LE elbow ( it got ahold through my coat). Of course, if I had been wearing my sleeve at the time, maybe it would have helped. I had just finished cooking, so I had it off and went out to help a child catch her dog. That'll teach me ( about wearing my garments, not trying to be a Good Samaritan). Anyway... VERY excited. I'm hoping it's here before my next onc appt. My onc's office is great about my LE, they're always interested in my garments and how they work for me. I'm grateful my local hospital has great LE awareness & training.

It'll be my first lymphedivas sleeve. I wear a glove so never tried them before, but it'll be nice for when I need it. Maybe it'll work well with my glove and I can get a "dressy" sleeve for fun. I'm tired of boring medical looking beige.

I've posted on the 'problems, glitches' thread that I think it is incredibly hypocritical to shut down Lymphedivas from helping us here and now having a 'shop' button on the upper right screen to buy products to support bco.

If you feel the same, let the mods know.

I for one am angry. To find someone, engage in dialogue with someone who can actually help us...to shut him down yet sell products to support the site...I find hypocritical.
