Does anyone take this? I'm about to start w/ the protocol. I'm taking femara too. Just wanted to know of anyone else's experience w/ this. Thanks!

There is a post called "Metastatic(hope I spelled it right)Cancer" in this section or maybe its in the complementary section, but the poster got a response with some very good into on it and a dr she works with. Gave the Drs name and contact info and everything. It sounds like a really good treatment. I used it years ago but I just bought a bottle of it from the Vitamin Shoppe and I put the drops in my tea. Couldn't tell you if it worked or not. I just used it til it was gone; didn't do a protocol or anything.

Hi HLB,Thanks,  I think that post or another one on here was where I got the info on the protocol. I emailed that Dr. i just haven't tried it yet.  I was wondering about interactions w/ femara. Were you taking it while taking femara?

I take super artmesinin by Nutricology. I also take their Complete Immune Powder, it also has some wormwood in it. I havent felt much of anything, but that's probably a good thing!!

No, I was not taking femara at the time. I actually was not taking anything to prevent recurrence. I was just trying different things and that was one of them. At the time I was NED. Dx'd with mets after 8 years and I didn't take tamoxifen. The main theing I did was maitake d fraction and bio progesterone, and after a few years I didn't do anything because I thought I was in the clear. Pretty dumb but I don't regret passing on the tamox. I do think I should have done something though and for the past 2 years did not take good care of myself.

HlB, I had my ovaries removed to avoid the tamox. I did take it for a month before surgery (oorph and mx) though. I'm stage III and after surgery in June my ca27-29 was 99 in July. Still my scans showed clear. After 5 /12 mos of femara, last week ca 27-29 is 17. Considering they were so high at surgery, my onc was concerned about possible microscopic disease, which urges me to keep taking my femara and as many alternatives I can find that me and my liver can tolerate. I try to take a day off of everything once in a while except for milk thistle to give my liver a break. It's all very frightening and figure I'll never be 'in the clear'. It sucks to have to keep the fear alive, but w/o it, I wouldn't put these AIs in me for even a day. So, though it would be hard to be diagnosed stage iv, whether I am or not, I will not ever have any days of feeling it's behind me. To have 8 years of life without fear of this is a lot. Some people take 5 years tamox and 5 years femara and still have the recurrance, so glad you don't have regrets about foregoing the tamox. It is what it is and we will go on to live another day. Because of this experience now, though my days are sometimes rough, I appreciate them more. Sure wish we can find the exact right regimen with some scientific backing for inhibiting aromatase completely w/o the AIs.
