Huggs grannydukes -
You said ...
he is going to serve me fresh fruit!
Have you all forgotten...
-
Well well well...you look just stunning.....
-
Granydukes... You were there. I had you in a ziplaock sandwich bag.
I was biven benedryl and felt very sleepy. Dozed off in the car. I wasn't driving. Came home, told huggy to callfor pizza, and fell into a heavy sleep on the sofa.
My blood counts are still good. I can still be around people. I'm careful about being around sick people. I had a different physician assistant today. Found out that he lives somewhenre near me. He was very talkative. He told me that most of the time people get 6 cylcles of this treatment. They test after 3 to see how it is working. It could be more treatments but I liked his honesty. He wa saying words that went over my head. I would tell him to speak simple english.
I'm getting tired again. Hubby did dishes. Now I can rest.
Hugs
-
Oh....ok....Harry's just for you Veggy!! But, when you're done....hee hee
I can actually say Benedryl was my favorite part of treatment! Instant calm....then, the steroids would hit me and that really sucked. I was super hyper and too wasted to do anything about it...benedryl is the greatest drug ever in my book. So glad to hear you've got a pal there!! And hubby sounds like he's taking good care of our sweet Veggy!
So, chatted with my PS today. Pleaded my case and if all goes well....I will be in reconstruction the last week of this year!!!!! FINALLY!!!! He'll take skin from my back and do what he can and I'm good with that. He said it'll hurt like hell and be 2 months of recovery....which is exactly why I don't want to wait til spring...I want to have a year of activity instead of agony and drugs. This port will be removed too! I think I'm the last one of my group for recon and port removal...just a month and a half and....game on!
Love to all of ya all!!!! Its bath time for the Fuzz!! -
Veggy.....I was afraid to breathe caus I really don't know if I'm sick or itis allergy.
I still feel shitty and I'm still here.
Did you get the masks?lol.
ill be her next week too soo if im feelin beta and you want to see me just give me a holla -
Grannydukes, I hope your cold gets better soon. When did yours start? Mine started yesterday. Totally feel like crap today.
Veggy, you are sounding good!
Tell me more about the benadryl. Is this something that might help me sleep? It will be a month before I can see a shrink. Not even a shrink, but a nurse practitioner. Meanwhile, the xanax is going fast. I will definitely run out. However, I need it now. Today I took it after I cut my thumb so that I would calm down and it would bleed less. Because I was not having an anxiety attack they knocked me the hell out and I had a delightful couple hour nap. I just took 3 more so I can sleep tonight. I have to go to school in the morning, and I have a hell of a cold. Plus I need a shower, so I need to be up early enough to deal with bleeding resuming during the shower, rebandaging the thumb, and drying my hair. It's too cold to go out with a wet head when I already have a cold.
I can't believe how hard it is to get an appt with a shrink! Wow! I did get in touch with a drywall person. He will come Saturday to have a look and give me an estimate. I have also decided to move out of here. You know I have been thinking about this on and off for a while. With the latest slap in the face by the snotty head of the improvement association, I have decided I really need to do it. So after I finish my class and get certified, I plan to look for work on the other side of town. I'm moving back in with mom. This place has brought me nothing but grief. The people are so weird, not a nice weird like me.
I'm burning my bridges and letting them all know what a crappy thing they have going here. It feels good.
-
I am somewhere between running around from the steriod and sleepy from the benedryl. Not a good place to be. I have the ativan within reach.
Nitequil makes a prodct just for sleep...ZZZquil. I haven't tried it. I know the nightquil works for me.
I'm going to try to sleep.
-
What is the dosage of bendadryl for sleep?
-
I take the recommended dose.
-
25mg is a single pill. It really is incredible when they shoot 50mg into the bloodstream all lickity-split...but, taking two pills is slow to absorb, yet very effective. Now, this is OTC...must discuss with doc AND RpH to make sure there are no interactions with anything you're on. For example, I cannot take Benedryl because it negatively affects my Tamoxifen. Mark my word though...at the end of my five year marriage to Tamoxifen, I'm having a SERIOUS affair with Benedryl.
-
Hey ladies hope everyone had a decent day. So tired these days all i want to do is sleep. Met new MO yesterday and among other things she is changing my chemo from AC to FAC. Can anybody tell me what that is etc any info would be great i am jusr too tired to try and look it up.
Hugs to all you wondrful ladies :-) -
Good god, what plant have I been on---he's smoldering-- sheila888 keep that x-rated thought. Veggy when your done and fuzzy's done, I don't mind getting the leftovers. LMG's we can share.--opps then that would be a threesome that is xrated. I'll pass him on when I'm done.
Veggy you sound good, I know that seems a strange thing to say, but you do.
Granny you sound awful, hope that cold goes away fast. Chicken soup?
Where is our Nancy?
Rider sorry clueless , i'll try to look it up if my bladder decides to calm down.
Strange comment about bladder--into stones and bladder has me running every few minutes.
-
Rider....they are both part of 5 common types of therapy. FAC is a combination of 3 drugs that has been effective for women who are both node negative and node positive....does that sound like you?
-
"F"= looks like a normal cell and kills cancer cells because they actually attach themselves and the die.
"A"= kills all rapidly producing cells.
"C" -
"C" = attaches itself to cancer cells and f's up its DNA sequence so that it cannot replicate!!
Sounds good to me!!! -
Like the sound of all that killing and dieing in there!!!! Hope it doesnt keep making me feel like i am doing the same tho :-)
Thanks for the info Fuzzy sister
Pocket party for chemo tomorrow whoever wants in!!! Free refreshments and possibly a poker game:-) -
In your pocket, but I'll just observe the poker game.
