About the poll on preventing recurrence

Today when I logged on, I noticed a link for a poll alongside my screen, about preventing breast cancer recurrence. The first question is: "Which of the following steps, if any, are you taking to help reduce recurrence?" with a list of eight steps. Well, of those eight, I was doing three before diagnosis, for reasons not specifically related to cancer. Another one has changed, partly because of cancer and partly for other reasons. The other four I was doing partially or not at all before diagnosis, haven't changed yet, and maybe never will.

The poll isn't really clear...does it mean what have you changed since diagnosis? If you are doing one of the things in the list, but not because of cancer (e.g. you don't drink because you are in recovery from alcoholism), how should you answer?

I think you might get better, more useful data from the poll if the questions were more specific.
