Hello Everyone!

I wanted to ask if there are any shampoos, creams, or ANYTHING out there that helps to grow hair. I'm getting my last chemo (perjeta, herceptin, taxotere) at the end of the month. I can't wait for my hair to start growing. I haven't done much research so I wanted to see if there was something I can use to speed up the growth. I hear about the Ovation Therapy...has anyone tried that?

    Hi, the only thing I was advised to use was the Nioxin shampoo which I did (although shampooing a bare scalp is very weird). They say hair grows at 1/2" per month and it sure does, as I measured every week and took photos and that's exactly what it did ... no faster. I always had lots of thick hair and wasn't sure what it would come back as. But it's been 2 years and it's as thick as ever, down to mid back or so.

    Hope your treatment went well, it's a milestone to finish it for sure!

    Thank u Nikki! I'm gonna have to try nioxin shampoo. I've been shampooing and conditioning my fuzz. It does feel wired but I don't feel clean when I skip 'hair' washing. I've always has long hair so my hair loss has been very frustrating. I HATE being bald.

    The girls on the Hair,Hair,Hair thread can tell you what they use. There are also some girls that put their timeline pics up so you can see how fast the hair really grows after chemo.
