Life on aromasin

Lulubee, I like your idea! I think I'll try it.
-
Lulu I love that system it would really work for everyone.
Scittie see u are u'r mother hahaha---she totally forgives u--and I do the same thing. Every so often I find a pill on the floor--good things our pets don't like them I don't think. LOL
Oh there are a couple of Greek yogurt I ask for the one that makes men look like John Stamos. good, but expensive and if u close u'r eyes u can picture him--worth every penny.

Has anyone experienced anxiety, jittery feelings on Aromasin, and if so, did it go away after a while? I've been on it for a little over a month, tolerating it well, but now have developed anxiety.
Thanks for any help,
Susannah -
Susannah Yes---I'm back taking xanax a little more again. It helps those times. The goofy thing to me is I get alot of SE that I did when I had chemo, just not as bad. It all sucks to me.
-
Cami, how long have u been taking Aromasin?
-
Susanna, I had a lot of anxiety about two months into Aromasin. I always associated it with fear about the cancer, but who knows. Anyway, I went on Effexor and have very little anxiety anymore.
-
I have a friend who is practiced in EMDR. It worked wonders on my anxiety, no need for xanax after one session.
-
I have a pill container that holds four doses a day. So I take the Prilosec and Aromasin in the am. I put the calcium in the next one for the day and the last one. I put the multivitamin in one. I was taking the Vit and Calcium in the evening together but now will do the calcium late am and afternoon with a snack so I don't mix them with anything. I think the Prilosec and Aromasin should be ok together and the vit alone. Man it is so wierd to be having these issues. I always joke and say " I was fine till they fixed me" No lump no symptoms felt as healthy as I ever had till my annual mamo. Then bilateral mastectomy with horrible infections from the hospital and screwed up NSM. Now three years in Dec still not done with recon due to it and had 17 incisions! One more surgery this Friday then tatoos so maybe I will be done before 3 1/2 years!!!
-
Shayne, What is emdr?
-
I also did a few Psych K sessions.......which were also helpful. I think they have a website as well - if you google it, it should come right up
-
Thanks shayne.
-
Shayne u find amazing things --I'm so glad they are working out for u.
Susannah I've been on (I think) about 1 and 1/2 urs.
I had 2 sep. Dr. app't s today neither one went very good--So I'm not worried about the onc one at all, but the card Dr. I feel more concerned he's adding a med and doubling another heart stuff scare me loads--cancer for some insane reason doesn't so I need scans and stuff coming up and have to have another test next week and see the Card. the following week.
And u guys are right I felt fine before all this I worked full time, went out enough. cleaned my house washed my clothes and took care of my grandson on the week-end cuz I loved it. Now I live with them, feel like crap and he takes care of me---hahaha

Camille, as you know, it's the circle of life. My parents are both deceased, but they were helpless at the end of their lives. It was a total reversal of roles from when I was a child. They gave me love and care then, and I was so happy to return those gifts to them. It will be DH's and my turn someday to depend on our daughters, SIL and grandsons.
Here's a little funny anecdote along those lines. I was babysitting my 4 year old grandson last week, when I cut myself cooking. I got a bandaid and we talked some about boo boos. He said he also had accidents, but "it's really bad when grandma's get cut!"
-
Wow, thanks for all the replies on how to take the aromasin. I think, just to play it safe, I will take my meds at least 2hrs between each med. Have a great week!!!
-
Those therapies found me.....i did not go looking for them. Just happen to have friends who are very blessed and talented, and have a desire to help others.
-
Yorki I'm replying now while I remember--ths is so cute--I lovd what kids ssy about everyhting.
-
Yes, Camille, they are such treasures!

How is everyone doing?
I am having some minor joint stiffness/pain - wondering what you women who have experienced this took..... thanks......
-
Shayne, I think most of us have been having joint or bone discomfort with these. But again not everyone is the same--But I know I have so it's a toss up---It's like adding insult to injury. After the fact.
-
Shayne, I suffer from the same minor issues. Glucosamine has helped me a lot.
-
Thanks yorkiemom - how much do you take?
-
Shayne, I'm taking 1,500 mg a day. I think it is a standard dose. I also really need to get back to regular exercising. Been slouching off.
-
Shayne as well as the glucosamine try fish oil too, it seems to help.

Im on Perilla oil because of toxins in fish oil - according to my ND......

Does anyone get pressure on chest feeling, short of breath or right abdominal side pain on aromasin? Worried and any reassurance would be appreciated.
-
Melody I did have pressure on my chest a couple of times very soon after I started to take it, but not your other symptoms. Haven't had it since though.
If it keeps up you should see your dr.
Sending you ((((hugs)))) you sound scared
Trish

Sometimes I have a little shortness of breath. I've experienced this off and on for decades though. I think it is due to allergies and congestion which I have plenty of right now. But now I, like you, tend to "go there" now, ugh.
-
Good morning!!! I, too, have had bouts of shortness of breath and headaches on aromasin. I attribute these as side effects of the drug. I never even told my doctor about them. I am so bad about that. I see my onc on Thursday, maybe I will mention them to her. Have a great day, Kathy
-
I have been on aromasin for coming up on 4 years! Not really having any aches and such to blame on it but then again, I am very anxious at times. Seems all the docs in my life are real eager to find a reoccurance and I have not had one! Have had a couple B9 biospies in the past 4 years but for now, looking and hoping for the end of 5 yrs.
Had a e mail the other day from a pal who was ending her 5 years! and since she had extra pills left (pfizer sent her free meds) seems she may pass them on to me. Her 5 years are over and no reoccurance
-
Thanks for posting! Those of us that are in our first year......find this v encouraging....!!
