What the f*ck (WTF) is Omeggo talking about hehehe. I'm Rolling On the Floor Laughing (or better ROFLMAO, " My Ass Off, wish you could really do that...)
-
In all seriousness, I'm glad you are feeling good and hope that tomorrow goes well. Think about the pole dancing as you are trying to go to the bathroom. It makes sense.
-
Oh, I just can't keep up. So much going on with everyone.
Camillegal--if Joey is your third grader (it's ok if you think I'm nuts)--you can save $ and be the hit of Christmas if you give him a roll of Mentos mints and a bottle of Diet Coke. Be sure he's outside and in old clothes, or can run pretty fast... When the mints hit the Coke, there's an explosive fountain of fizz. Or--a tiny bottle of ketchup and a roll of pennies--and he can watch them turn from tarnished to sparkly. Or--a pk of baking soda and a little bottle of vinegar--and he can fizzle happily at the kitchen sink. He can become a "mad scientist." :-) I hope your bump turns out to be nothing fiercesome. (I have a new lump to be my show and tell centerpiece for my appt next week... ick. and it hurts.)
whaevah--love the idea of throw another cat on the bed. Mine throw themselves. (have two) :-) Hungry? The going recipe around here is tossing candy corn and peanuts together... tastes like Payday candy bars. It's inhaled by the buckets. (i'd rather have a Heath bar.)
flwarrior--the down low has really worked for me. There is a super small prayer circle of those who know at my school, since I had to tell my principal and my team... my dh and our two daughters (who shared with closest of their friends, as a pressure valve for them)... I'm glad you get it. Seems many don't. (long live hermit spirit.)
Stormy--love your little critter pic. and I've made extensive use of the delete button. Even learned how to undo a sent email on gmail. Keep your chin up gets old fast.
Flislander--if I didn't have to go out, I would be a full-fledged stay-at-home hermit. I have always been reluctant to mix and mingle, and bc emphasizes my inclination.
markat--if you want ooze to go with the alien kit (ooh--camillegal, this would be great for your little guy!) mix powdered borax, a blip of water, and Elmer's glue, and a little of any food coloring--and you have your own squishy Alien innards--squishy and nontoxic and hours of fun.
Sixth grade insult of the day... You're... you're... ugh!! You're worth your weight in Brussels sprouts!!!
Good luck, all, with appts and energy. Breathe.
-
Thanks for the info Skittle.
Camille, hope you are doing okay and got a lot of good stuff at the store.
-
Pole dancin' tomorrow, wearing my "so ugly they are beautiful " chemo inspired boots! You should try it Omeggo, all you need are the premeds, 3 liters of water and your fav music...I am expert at this. To date only bumped 2 people and a chair. I forgave the chair, it didn't see me coming.
Omeggo, you are psycho as well? Cool.
-
I hope Camille isn't wandering around lost at the grocery store.
Good luck tomorrow whaevah.
K, jane, FLwarr, Journey- are you all hiding from us today?
CSmommy, Jinkala, Sissy- not sure if you all still check in, but thinking of you ladies too! Hope you are feeling good!
-
Hi hermits!
From one FL to an other FL, welcome. Are you east coast, west coast or some where in between? I'm west coast.
Sounds like there is a lot of action going' on tomorrow between ports and pole dancin'. Wishing you all a smooth and easy time. Sending good vibes your way!
Camile when will you get the scan? Darn, you may have to take another shower.
I don't like/do facebook. I hear horror stories from friends who do.
Markat - Love your description of our hermit clan.
Today was not my favorite day. I was bored at work and it seemed to drag on forever. On the way home my blinkers and windshield wipers in my car wouldn't work (wtf?). Got home and my roommate had left the freezer door ajar...lots of defrosting went on, had to through some stuff out. ARG! Damn I do not have the strength or energy for this stupid sh*t anymore.
Hugs to all hermits!!!
-
FLwarrior... Autozone will check it out for no charge. Might be as simple as replacing a fuse. (ask one of their guys to do it--takes 30 seconds) Not on facebook either. Some fbi guys (truly) visited school and told warning stories to our kids. Not worth it.
whaevah--blessings to you at the dance. Will be sending warm thoughts your way.
Hugs to each hermit.

Im so sorry I've not been here, i lost internet for awhile, it happens to me a lot! Im not desolate so i don't get it! Then i have to wait for people to come out and fix it!!! Its stupid!! I hope im still welcome?!?

I hate these type of Tuesdays cause i have to talk to Vip, and CEO type people and i feel stupid cause i forget words, sometimes i lose my whole train of thought, right in the middle of my speechanyway, i need to do homework with my lil one's now. I love how Teka pops on with the emoticons!
Waving hi to Teka!
Chey, another wild fun night in Hollywood. You really should post some pics for us! Of course your boss might not appreciate that?
Camille, hope you made it out of the Dorito aisle.
-
Chey come in any time u can.
Thanks Markat I got depends and cookies. hahaha--That's all
OH Joey's my grandson--so I'm not allowed to do lots of stuff--but we sneak things hahaha
And this time when I saw my Card. He looked GOOOOD I told him the first time I thought he was Doogie Houser but today he looked GOOOD and I found out one of the girls in the office has a big crush on him and I told her to go for it. I laugh cuz I ask all the goofy questions.-oh and BTW nothing went good in tjere so this bothers me, not the rib thing, but I have to go back next week and the week after and I don't know everything is all goofed up with the heart thing. This bothers me--I came home and slept so long. Oh well he's changed some meds anddouble others so we'll see Oh and of course added another-Geeze--more confusion for me.
-
Camille- I'm glad the doc was looking good! I'm sorry about the heart! I hope the meds even everything out and do their job!
-
Good Morning Hermitettes---I'm really going to hermitude today--It actually snowed last night (tiny bit) but Joey was so excited--Now it's just plain cold but the sun is out.
Markat it seems like whenever I get a male Dr. (most are female) the males are really good looking and of course zi tell them--I mst scare the hell out of them. LOL
What's everyone doing today---I'll just be on here and watvh TV and eat my cookies. Just what I need.
-
I am looking forward to a long long long soak in the tub before daughter arrives home for laundry night.
-
Hi everybody! I'm infusing as we 'speak'. I'm getting a little woozy. Gotta stop twirling the pole and playing Limbo and all that jazz. They actually say that it is disruptive! The nerve..
-
teka sounds really good.
Omeggo just rest now and I hope u feel good.
-
Quick update - started rads - getting puppies - more later!
-
I've been a lazy hermit today. But, we need to go on our daily shopping trip (yes, we have become those people lately). I also need to get stuff in order to do grown up things like open a bank account, get the background check and drug test Thursday. I never added myself to my DH's because it never seemed necessary. Even when I had my little part-time jobs before I would just cash the check at work, lol. Dumb and lazy. I think I might just open my account and use it to save for something.
K- hope the rads were easy today. Puppie(s) that sounds like plural. Anyone live near Kltb to go check and see if she is having a breakdown
Stormy-hope you are recovering from your surgery and resting.
Whaevah and Omeggo- hope you are both done and sleeping by now.
Teka-have fun with that laundry!
Camille- it's cold enough here to snow today! We actually didn't have any substantial snow storms last year. First time in my life I think that has happened. I wouldn't mind a repeat this year.
-
K repeat---PUPPIES---are the rads messing with u'r mind.
I hope all the girls are resting and done for today.
Oh Markat I hate grown up things--really do. I always tell Joey enjoy this all u have to make sure is that u do homework. I need to do my nails. I even hate that. OK I scheduled my bone scan for i week from Monday I did't want to get involved with the holiday, now she did say I might need another one cuz this is small and it might not pick up so I won't do this type til January--again I'm not screwing up my Christmas again cuz of this junk my Doc wasn't crazy about thst but she areed it's not that far away so I really live on the edge.LOL
-
Oh and anyways I figure u uys will listen to me complain hahahaha
-
Just checking in with my fellow hermits.
Port install was postponed! I'm coughing my head off and the surgon said that wont work while he has big needles in my chest.
I'm kind of happy it was delayed, cuz I really don't wanna do it, but I kind of just want to get it over and done with too.
I'll be back latter to catch up, laundry is calling me. Lol
-
Hi Everyone! I am back and had to pack an order, hunt down an Emend coupon thingy, get an additional authorization for the next batch (a big project because my insurance wants a $375.00 copay), answered a gazillion work related emails (actually, only six) and I"m STILL at the computer.
Rest? I'm trying to drink TONS of water but I feel fine. This is how it was last time to0. By Friday I was a wreck but right now, I'm good.
Hope you all are doin' OK. Snow...wow. I can't do cold. Living in Germany for 14 years cured me of the need for cold weather, which is one reason I'm in FL. Still thawing out, after well, another 14 years!
They left the IV in since I get more drugs (Decadron, Aloxi) tomorrow. It hurts. Other than that, all is OK. A day at a time.
-
Wow. Busy community of hermits! Hoping all goes well for each of you. From snow to puppies to laundry. Wish my dr were more appealing. Sadly not... more on the scary side. Long soak in the tub sounds the way to go at the moment.
Cheyenna--good luck. Every public speaker has had "those" moments, without your good reason why. Just your beautiful smile will make them all very forgiving.
Camillegal--hugs to you as you encounter all those challenges...
-
Hey hermits, haven't fallen off the planet. Just busy trying to get some things done with my DD#3 when she was home this weekend. Yesterday trying to catch up (laundry, groceries) apparently you do actually have to leave the house to get food sometimes. 3rd time was the charm for IV/canula insertion for MRI contrast today. Think my arm and hand are going to be black and blue tomorrow.
You certainly have been busy the last couple of days ... so I will just try to hit the highlights.
First welcome to cindy loo who, Flislander, stormy and anyone else I may have missed.
Journey ... glad you we able to finally share with your drs. and us. Happy they are giving you the scan to put your mind a little at rest. Hopefully you can start to move forward ... however, at your own pace ... not someone telling you "all better now".
K - puppies OMG you are an amazing mom to consider that right now. Hope rads are going well ... first couple of weeks usually not too bad ... just time consuming.
Markat .... You are too funny as always. Had a friend Mary Katherine (good catholic family) who we used the nickname Meerkat for .. always wondered if you shared a name.
FLwarrior {{{Hugs}}} back at ya
Chey good luck ... always found smiling worked when I used to do corporate training in another life.
Camille .. sorry about the rib. Hope the change in meds works for you, if you can figure it out. lol Glad someone appreciated the cold.
Would post a picture of my daughter, but haven't figured out how yet.
-
camillegal... Yep, I got that Joey was your grandson... I just thought the mentos would make for a cool grandmother gift. btw, what does he call you? I've heard everything from Memaw to Granny to Grammy... and on. If I ever, ever have the honor, I have no clue what name to run with. (Mind wanders when avoiding bc head on... I tend to do the ostrich thing when I can.)
bgirl--hope your black and blue badges of honor aren't too ouchy. Hope mri brought good news.
Stormy--good luck kicking that cough.
-
HI. For a bunch of hermits, we sure stay busy!
Skittle thanks. I will go by auto zone this w/e. One of the guys at work checked the fuses and it was not that. Good thing it isn't supposed to rain this week. AND...lol at the making you smile cartoon!
Camille NIIIIICE that your card is lookin good! Hope he gets you fixed up really soon.
kltb - hope rads was easy on you today. When I read "getting PUPPIES" I wasn't thinking animals...more like perky puppies...hahaha...guess bc leaves me in a boob rut. Laughed at myself when it 'dawned' on me what you really meant.
stormy - sorry 'bout your cough, good thing the port was postponed. Hope you are on the mend soon!
Markat - makes sure you check out any fees associated with a new bank account. The banks here are all starting to add misc charges and fees to alot of the accounts. I am getting ready to change banks because of that very reason.
Omeggo - Rest is a good idea. Lots of water is a very good thing! Glad you are feeling well now and hope that it continues!
whaevah - Hope you had a good pole dance today!
bgirl - Bummer about the multiple sticks!
journey - Hope you are feeling better today!
Hello to all. Hope I didn't miss anyone!
-
Stormy- Sorry that you have the cough. Let us know when you have to get it.
bgirl- ugh about the arms! Hope it isn't too bad.
Hi skittle- hope you had a good day at school! It's almost Thanksgiving break! Does your school get the whole week off, just the holiday and after? The school I'm going to work at has the whole week, but my girls only get Wed, Thurs, Fri.
Flwarrior- good advice. I had an account before I was married but closed it. Hopefully it isn't too much. Hope your car is an easy fix.
Well, I fell asleep and only made it to the store. Tomorrow will be grown up stuff. Friday we close on our refi (Yay!). We actually get to skip Dec payment but I think we are going to put that back in savings. DH desperately needs a new car, but hopefully we can get another year out of his. We'll probably end up having two car payments at once. I hate that. I want a little Prius or some other kind of hybrid. I'm sick of gas!
-
Hi gals-hope r'e doing all right and able to sleep/Skittle my grandson calls me mamma, cuz he said I'm like his grandma and mommy-and he calls his other grandma cuz she's just grandma. g00fy kid./ my favorite time of day after dinner and he does his homwork we watvh TV together for about an hour and he has his arm around my shoulders and my head is on his shoulders, then every so often he kisses my forehead--It's so easy for me to love him so much he gets my coffee in the morning, feeds my cat, and clessns the litter box for me--And makes sure I have enough water. Rhe only man in my whole life that was and is so good to me. LOL
Oh i might go out tomorrow with my girlfriends for lunch so I hope I can do it. And 2 of mu friends are coming in from FL the next couple of weeks so my sister always picks the restauranr so if we don;t like it we blame her--it's kind of a tradition for the last 40 yrs. We still pick on her, but we always have fun anyway--but I think we'll have to go out 2 different times cuz they planned different times coming in--so that's llright. We have such fun. And then with Thanksgiving--So we'll all be busy next week an it will fly by.
I've been so broke, I usually have my Christmas done now and I haven't even started I hate this--it sucks.
-
hi Everyone. I'm still REALLY loopy from taking various anti nausea meds during the long, sleepless nights. Thought for a moment I might hurl something mightily..Not fun at all. Did anyone ever feel like they had a 50 pound cement bag laid on their chest as they went to bed? That's happened twice now. I should probably mention it to MO. It has only happened once, each night after the infusion. Today I get Emend which should do the trick, I hear.
Even though last night was rough, I do feel better than last time.with Chemo #1, so far. I guess I should be happy about that. Half way done!!! That's the way to look at it, of course.
Anyway, I can't think fast enough at the moment to offer any one-liners but when I get giddy again (in about two weeks) I'll try to post some.
MY love to you all and good luck today with ALL that is going on in each of your lives.
Hermitude, hermitudinous, hermitateous, pre-hermitidic, post-hermipsychotic. I was trying to come up with more hermit related words last night when I couldn't sleep. There must be thousands!!! And worked better than counting sheep (or burps). I finally got to sleep at around 5 am.
