Today I was exhausted.  Almost as bad as when I was in the middle of Chemo.  I'm assuming it is lingering effects of the Rads.  No fair to be like this now that I'm finished.  Grrr..

Kitchenella - Oh gosh, so sorry you are so exhausted.  I had a few days like that after Rads.  Have you had your blood counts checked lately?

Peggy, I'm so sorry you're so tired.  Take time to take care of yourself and rest when you need to.  It should get better soon.

I found myself really tired for a couple of weeks afterwards, but honestly I feel almost "normal" (whatever THAT is!) now.  Next week it's back to grad school, grad assistantship position AND internship.  I'll be overwhelmed for 15 weeks, but as I pointed out to my DH my chemo lasted 20 weeks, so this should be a breeze!

    Congratulations on being finished!!!!!

    Nancy

Today was my fist day without any exhaustion. I finished rads on July 13.

I just got my Tamoxifen Rx today, so it may be my only day free of exhaustion. ;)

Thanks gals.  I did get my blood tested when I had my Herceptin treatment on Thursday and both white and red were just below normal.  I'm sure that has something to do with it.  This too will pass G-d willing and I've been counting on Him all along this path.  It is just good to have a place to vent now an then and you gals are great Ventees. ;-)

Went for my one month post radiation check up with Rad Onc today.  It was like old home week. The entire Rad Dept was so happy to see me, and I truly was delighted to see them.  I had written a letter to the CEO of the hospital telling them how pleased I was with the Rad Dept...they were all so happy I did that for them.

It really made me feel like a BC Survivor.  I kept envisioning going back 5 years from now.  Made me feel good.  My Rad Tech said when he first started 17 years ago, most of his patients died.  Now, most of his patients live.  He said it makes him feel so good to think he played a role in a person's survival.

My RO was very talkative, too.  I never believed a doctor's check up could be so positive and fun!  Whew, what a difference a month makes!  Hope you are all doing well...

    Morning all,

Just checking in . Had my 3 month post rads follow up on Friday.  All is well from his perspective.  I don't see him until July 2013.  YEAH.  Fell like I am moving on.

    How's everyone doing?

Good Monday to al and be well

Nel I'm OK.  Still get tired and seem to be catching every virus that comes my way.  My surgeon broke his arm and got way backed up on appointments so the only one I could get for my post chemo follow up was for next June.  I"m going to talk to his nurse when I go for my Herceptin infusion on Thursday to see what she can do to fit me in sooner.  It shouldn't be a long appointment.

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all! We made it.

We should have all agreed to check back - maybe Thanksgiving is our check in time!

I've missed you all but when I get down or achey.. I read recent posts and find we all are hanging in there.

I'm very thankful for all of you!
