Anxious about annual mammo
Hi to all, i just need a little support, i am having my 3rd year mammo on Monday, i am finding i am very anxious regarding this, why is it harder this time i am rearly sad today, is it because reality has finally sunk in, time to reflect i wish i was stronger as i have been all along, i am not feeling sorry for myself as i always see my glass as half full. Does or has anyone else felt this way 3yrs after dx. Hugs to all

Hi Kaza. (((((hugs)))))) I think we all feel the same way when it comes to our regular checks and mamos, it just seems that the mamo in particular bring all the bad memories to the fore once again and once again the fear comes with it. It is unfortunate that this happens and one would think that as time passes that particular fear would fade........well we hope.
Hoping for you that your mamo is still clear and your fears will grow less.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Thanks Kaza, the little munchkin is my gorgeous niece when she was about eight months old. Time has passed and she has grown (she is now three) but I just love that photo of her as well.

Hi to all, had my annual mammo on Monday, my dear sweet friend came with me. Anyway had mammo then had to wait to see the doctor, i was called in i asked if everything was ok, the doctor said that they could see some cysts ( not my usual caring doctor i might add) the mammo pictures were on view, the doctor then examined me said he couldnt feel any cysts, then an older man came in, no introduction, so i didnt have a clue who he was!!!!! preceeded to do a ultra sound, i asked if he could see anything he answered i am not a doctor, he sounded rearly grump!!! I felt rearly emotional by this time. I then got dressed, they all seemed very vague, i then spoke to the doctor i asked if there were any cysts he said the mammo was the same as the last one , i was feeling rearly confused and anxious by this time. anyway have a app for 6mths time instead of a year, When i got home i rang private hospital local to me, as i wanted to get a second opinion to put my mind at rest, i spoke to a lovely lady my usual consultant spends a lot of time at this hospital and is loved by everyone, she is going to contact hom and call me when she has spoken to him. The difference in these two hospitals it seems private care may be the way forward but it is so expensive i do have insurance at work so hoping it may help cover scan cost. Times like this i just want the old me backxxxxx
