Nipple reconstruction

can someone post the link to vinnie the tatoo artist in NOLA. I am thinking of using him and combining it with a little mini vacation to celebrate.

feeling fine today, but anxious to take the bandage off. PS said to wait 24 hours.  I guess I can hold out until 430p. maybe.... 

I think you need to see some of the work your PS does. I am very happy with my PS's work. I may need a touch up on one because it's faded a little. My mother thought they looked great and she paints.

A Bc sister had her 3D tattoos done two weeks ago..she had a lot of pain (unusual I know)she also had a lot of bleeding.. The tatts crusted over like a open wound would Yesterday the "crust"came off and today she showed he her tatts... nothing... only looked like two red circles same as a healing wound, So disappointing for her,, this was done by a nurse who does this every Friday as a service to BC survivors... i am going to be using her as well as she is the only person doing this in our area.. Anyone heard of this happening?

Ossa I had some crusting/bleeding but when everything fell off/healed they looked great. Still do. February 7th will make 1 year. I got mine on my birthday. I would ask your nurse why this happened.

Had my follow up with my PS yesterday which was 1 week since nipple surgery. He is very happy with how they look. He told me 2 more weeks of taking it easy, no heavy lifting or cardio. Not sure why cause I feel fine. I work in retail so on my feet a lot. I am going back to work in 1 week but I am thinking that I may be working half mast. He also said to wear the cone shaped protectors as long as I can stand it. I can't feel them but they do make  fashion a challenge. I may have to go buy some super baggy tops for work, these will be on for another month until I see him next. Also gotta put vaseline on them morning and night to reduce scarring.

they look really good though i hope they shrink a lot though. Also they are way fatter than my old one were.

Is it necessary to take time off from work for nipple reconstruction? Just curious, as I am scheduled for December & was not planning on taking time off.

went for my post op today..surgeon is happy with nip, but probably need more fat grating done... was told to massage daily to see of scartissue lets go,or he will going and fix it.. Went back to work monday ( a week post op ) fully intended on working half day... did not work out that way  ended up working overtime Tuesday again overtime.. so today I left work at 10:45 to go see surgeon.. decided to take rest of the day off..... Funny how surgeon differs in opinions regarding time offf. I was told one week would be good.. Do not have nipple cone as I hear so many of you talk about.. I can't wear a bra as my bruising is along bra line... wearing nursingpads to cover/protect nipple

If I had a desk job I could have gone back to work this week week. But I work in retail so on my fett a lot running around reaching and carrying stuff a lot so going back next week. I feel fine but doc says to take it easy at least 2 more weeks. 

Carrol. I also work retail, on my feet a lot, but also have to do a lot of computer work.. I find with everything I have had done doctors differs in opinions.. I was told to never wear an underwire bra again was also told I do not need to wear a bra if I dont want to.. Other are told to only wear underwire, and some are told to wear a bra 24/7 Make you wonder

Got my tattoos in a flash yesterday (about an hour). Told to use antiobiotic cream for three days and to keep them moist with A&D Ointment for a week. What were your instructions? What can I expect as they heal any (itching, etc.)?

She didn't use any thing to numb them at first but there was one spot on the left side that clearly has a nerve ending somewhere! She used a topical numbing something on it.

ossa yeah i work at a bra store so I see a lot of recon patients and they all seem to have different instructions. I guess it depends on the patient and the surgery too. My PS said to wear underwire but not 24/7 he basically said they will sag eventually like a natural breast so it's up to me . I like the way they look way better in underwire.

ok I don't know if I am imagining this but . . .

it's a week since I had my nipples got my stitches out on tuesday. So now my PS has me putting vaseline on the scars. 

On one side i think i feel a little tingle. Maybe I am crazy but I def feel something but only on one side. That side seems to be healing a lot better the incision is tighter. 

Could this be???

I have absolutely no feeling what-so-ever in my new nip, but I do have a radiating sensation to the center of the breast if I run my finger along my cleavage area. Kinda like electrical pulses. Nerves are funny things.
