Hi my name is Lori and my best friend has recently been diagnosed with cancer, she is struggling with the choice of mastectomy or lumpectomy. She has implants and concerned about that as well. I don't know how to help her with these life changing decisions and hoping someone could help me.

    Lori- Sorry about your friend!

    It is going  to depend on so many things like if there is a history of BC in her family, her stage, grade size of her cancer. It is a personal decision that only she can make for herself. Without any information Im sorry I can't be of too much help.

    You are a great friend to want to come here and get answers for her. Not sure about the implants what they would do in that case either. Im sure others will be along to offer more advice too. Please keep us posted and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Sending hugs and prayers for your friend and you.
