I have decided to get those little estrogen buggers taken out in December.  I am not sure what % of PR my bc was, think it was in the mid 80%, but I will do anything to avoid bc again!!  Anyone out there have this procedure done? How did the hot flashes flash? Worse, more intense? Not looking forward to that but I will do what ever it takes. Was talking with dr about a hysterecotmy but seems like overkill and I believe the cervix and uterus do not produce any er/pr so I will avoid that invasive procedure.  I imagine I will be off the tamoxifen and onto something else? Anyone have thoughts or exeperience?

    Hi Cherylinohio,

    My daughter's name is Cheryl!

    Anyway, just had ooph last week. Chemo had put me into menopause so i figured it wouldn't be much different. However, i have had a slight increase in hot flashes during the day, and a marked increase of night sweats. MO put me on effexor a couple months ago and it helped a lot then. Hoping that things will settle down quickly. I hate the midnight wakeups, soaking :(

    Just make sure you let your dr know what issues you are having. There are many ways to fight them.
