Dancing with the Stars

Vote at the end of tonight for your favorite of the two nights. No one is cut until next week.
-
Fun, fun dancing again tonight. I really, really enjoyed both group dances.
-
I wasn't all that crazy about tonight's group dance. And too much gyrating in it. Altho when Bruno asked Giles for his towel & he whipped it off and threw it at him...loved that! So funny!
None of the individual dances appealed to me this week. Maybe Shawn & Derek. In rehearsal, when he was explaining vulnerability to her, I got tears in my eyes, very unlike me. I'm not a big fan of the rhumba or that certain kind of costumey thing the women often wear for that dance, the draping fabric diagonal across the body.
I wish they'd have explained voting better last night. I didn't know if we used all our votes last night if we'd be able to vote again tonight.
-
I voted earlier tonight on Facebook, was just checking my page now, & it came up & let me vote again ?????
-
I voted last night and when I went on facebook tonight it wouldn't let me, so I had to rewind the tv to get the phone numbers then I went back on facebook voila it allowed me to vote, so I've facebooked and phone voted tonight. I wasn't so keen on tonights group dance and I loved Tony and Melissa and Louis and Sabrina.
-
So who do you think will be eliminated next, maybe Kirstie or Kelly?
-
I would lean more toward Kelly, as Kristie did look good last night and has that show business presence.
-
Loved Shawn and Derek last night...he really is an awesome choreographer! And I think even Shawn had tears welling up when Derek was explaining vulnerability to her!
Monday night's group dance was fun and well choreographed. Last night's group dance was, um, what do they call it? Oh yeah....A HOT MESS!!!!
Carrie Ann sure seemed cranky and picky last night...
I hope Kelly is the next to go. I'm tired of looking at her pout. Sure, it was "in character" for the group dance, but that's how she looks all the time!!!
-
If it is a dual elimination I hope it is Kelly and Kirsti.
-
Oh, yea, chabba, that would make this competition ramp up to the nth degree if they both go!
-
Hot Mess is the perfect description for the Tues night group dance. Not my cuppa tea.
Loved the Monday night group dance, though. They even got a 10 from Len!
Fave teams this week: Emmitt & Cheryl, Gilles & Peta, Sabrina & Louis, Shawn & Derek.
Not feelin' it for Kelly, and I enjoy Kirstie but her fan base will only take her so far.
Sad to ponder both of the hunky Chmerkovskiy brothers going home soon.
-
What surprises me is that Kirstie Alley has a big fan base. Her Cheers character was fun, but that was...30 some years ago? So where in the world are these people who like her and vote for her. She's not THAT entertaining on DWTS. Not a great dancer. No one that I know goes around saying, oh, Kirstie, I've always loved her, you know, like they might say about Mary Tyler Moore or Roseanne or someone.`
-
MrsM, I'm thinking it could be people (like me) who like to see a plus-size woman being pretty, and graceful, and sexy. That woman has moxie. Like last night, shaking her booty with the word style emblazoned in day-glo green on a black leotard.
-
Well, badger, thanks for giving me some insight into what it is that others find appealing about her. I do get your point. She did have that certain kind of moxie to wear that outfit, for sure. And she's a 61 year old woman hanging in there with not one but two Olympic gold medalists, so I really have to give her credit for that.
-
badger: You are so right...she's a role model for many women, and you have to give her credit for being 61 years old and having the ability to move like she does! She has beautiful hair...something I always wish I had more of...lol!
-
Oh yeah, the age factor, I forgot about that. Didn't she say she was as old as 3 Shawns?
-
the judges votes are all over the place tonight!
-
Yes, the judges were all over the place. I'm spreading my votes out because I really liked most of the dances. The group dance was amazing!
-
I think the judges are a little too 'Pro Kirstie' (I like her alot, but really!).
-
Sometimes I wonder about the judge's voting...I have no idea what they are thinking sometimes.
-
New favorites for me this week - Melissa & Tony and Apolo & Karina.
-
My favorite dance this week was also Melissa & Tony...loved the song, the set design, the dimmer lighting, what she wore and how they danced together.
I like country music, but didn't care so much for 'country/western' being the night's theme. "Feel Like a Woman" was an odd song for Giles to dance to, and he and Peta looked more like something out of the movie Cabaret and not Shania Twain's video. His pants showed up too shiny black on my TV.
I love "Islands in the Stream" but did Cheryl have to wear that peasant dress? Kelly's red outfit...goofy...are her and Val an item? And was it fair for Carrie Ann to give both Melissa's and Kirstie's routines the same score of 9.5? The group dance was okay.
One thing I absolutely love is Sabrina's amazing, huge smile.
-
Btw, I liked Little Big Town opening the show...the two ladies in the group are so classy and what a great sound this group has.
-
wow surprised at who was voted off tonight! This is a crazy season!
-
I am so mad!!!!!!
-
A confusing season. I thought the show came on at 9, and didn't turn the TV on till then, so I missed the show which ticks me off. Sometimes they start at 9, sometimes 8, somtimes they have a recap at 8.....oh it irritates me.
From what I can find on the internet, I am so sorry to learn who got voted off! Booo!!Hiss!!!
Bleh! Kelly Monaco & Kirstie still there? Load of crap.
-
Yup!
-
Damn boo boo boo boo
-
Unfortunately i think this is what happens when people vote for somene they know isn't champion potential just to keep them in a bit longer thinking that the top contenders have such high scores they are safe. Stinks.
-
I just wanted to thank all of you for not naming the person voted off. By mistake I came to this thread earlier, forgetting that you get the show way before me & no one spoiled it for me. Thank you! GG
