After a year on Tykerb my GI tract was really rough.   My naturalist recommened Zygest Pro - It is a digestive Enzyme with a Probiotic.   You can find it on Amazon.   It didn't take long at all for my GI tract to feel normal.   It was amazing.  it didn't really fully appreciate how screwed up it was until it got better.

I think you need to be pretty diligent in taking them though.

I take a probiotic daily (sorry, it's in the fridge downstairs) but can't remember name/ dose. I get it at Whole Foods and it needs to be refrigerated. I also eat yogurt with live active cultures daily. My digestive tract needs lots of support :)

    Culturelle

    Saccharomyces boulardii

Those are the two I was told to take by an infectious disease specialist to combat c-diff.  And, I take them still.

Saccharomyces boulardi works like magic. Even was able to stop the Immodium!

I appreciate you all taking the time to answer my post. Where in the grocery store might I find culturelle? Does it need to be refrigerated?

I get a special probiotic from my pharmacist.  I had 6 weeks duration of terrible D, stomach pain, etc and I swear I got almost instant relief after starting the probiotic twice daily and drinking Kefir.  I continue with the probiotic and the Kefir and I really think it helps.  You can find Kefir at the grocery store. It tastes good and is an excellent probiotic source that is easy to drink.

    Regardless, it can't hurt.

Culturelle needs to be refrigerated.  Not all do.   I get mine at a health food store, not the grocery store.  Not to say it's not at a grocery but I haven't seen it at mine.

When I had c-diff I took keffir too.  It's like liquid yogurt, tastes good.  And, you can make a smoothie with it.  You know what else has good, natural probiotics?  Saurkraut.  Yep. And, I love it.  Even when I was super sick with c-diff I would eat a bit of saurkraut.
